Not too runny or too solid.I just keep using it. Wormer paste is too expensive these days to have to purchase a replacement because it got spat out.I like to get it between the teeth and the cheek skin towards the back.Used to have to fight with the poor horses to squirt the stuff in. But no fusses now since trying Clinton Anderson’s great trick:I bought a packet of several large bore syringes from Amazon. And a jar of unsweetened, plain applesauce from the store.Every night the horses hear me say “Applesauce!” And then they do the sniff test. Yup, that’s applesauce in the syringe (to the 30 mL or cc line only).They get 10 mL at a time squirted into their mouths, between teeth and cheek.I did this for 3 months before they got applesauce-worming paste-applesauce.Most nights they continue to get applesauce. Keeps them trusting and easy to dose, whether it’s wormer or Bute or antibiotic paste. Just have to keep up the routine!

It tastes fine to me but my husband says he’s noticed that I am whinny’ing or replying Neigh to everything he says. I’ve developed an appetite for Hay for dinner and apples for desert. But the final straw for him was when I stopped sleeping in the bed and he found me in the barn sleeping on my hands and legs. Even though this experiment has proven to be helpful with my chronic disease I need to be careful that curing my disease doesn’t mean I have to live in the barn and eating Hay for the rest of my life. My husband misses me.

Not a gel! it is a cream.

It has a hint of apple flavor, but is still bitter. It’s best chased with milk or coffee 🤣
