I’ ve had the radio about a week know and i can tell ya that the battery lasts more than a few days if you dont crank it up super loud. If you pay it loud it should last a few hours full blast. I mostly use the usb drive and the sound is good n much better than the radio. The reception depends on the stations and time of day so its hit n miss on that. I have not needed to buy batteries and that will make the radio heavy to walk around with i would just stick to the internal battery and use the provided usb to charge it in the car etc. i live on the coast and i like the weather band functionality and portability of this radio. I give it an 8 out 10 over all.

I'm very happy with this radio. It was easy to use, nice looking with a large lcd screen. I just wanted something I could bring outside on the porch of my apartment to listen to music while I'm lying in my hammock. I found the easiest way to preset channels is to just long press the scan button and the radio will automatically scan, stop at any channel with any strength and assign a P number to it. Then it will go on to the next channel and set it. By the end of the scan you will have around 20 to 30 preset channels. Now you can just hit the +/- P button, listen to each channel and decide if you want to keep it. If not, just long press the delete button and it will be dropped. After listening to each channel, you will probably have only 10 or so presets. Just remember the P number of the ones you kept and liked, then hit the + or - P button to go to each. You can manually scan by hitting the forward/backward buttons to zero in on a station and then manually preset that channel, although this is a little more complicated process, but you can assign your own P number to the channel. You can easily change bands, but I only use the am/fm bands. I did not bother with the weather or SW bands, which I read are a little trickier to use. Nice to have if you use them. The radio is a nice size with a good handle and has a long extendable antenna. Great battery life (4000mAh) that will lasts days of normal use (2 - 4 hours a day) if you don't turn the volume all the way up. It will accept usb drives and tf cards to listen to your own music. Just change the mode and insert drive or card. Then use the number buttons or forward/backward buttons to change songs. The sound quality is good and you can plug in headphones to listen to your music. You can adjust the volume to be very loud, but it will use up the battery quicker. You can also backup the lithium/ion rechargeable battery with 4 D cell batteries if your camping. Also, you can recharge with a large power bank. I got this radio for $30 so its a great buy.

Radio works fine but14 months out it won't accept a charge! Must be plugged in to work now.

Positives: very good sound, internal rechargeable battery has very long run time, easy to read frequency display, digital tuning.But it's really BIG for what it does. This is mostly because it can run on four D cells instead of the internal lithium ion battery. But the latter can run for dozens of hours. It's hard to see the point of the D-cell capability when it's made with such a capacious Li-Ion battery. (The product description says five hours run time.. That must be at max volume, because I reckon I ran it for 50 hours and it was still half charged.)The volume control knob also serves as the on/off switch. This is quite inconvenient because every time I turn it on, I have to adjust the volume! Even though I'm listening to the same station in the same location! This seems like a misguided attempt to emulate devices made in the 1950s. (I'm old enough to remember those, and I'm not interested in going back.)Using the programmed presets is too complicated. Tuning to a preset requires pushing three buttons. All this so they can advertize a huge number of presets. But who uses a hundred presets? I use two. On my previous radio, I could switch them with one button push.And reception isn't great. On the FM station I tune in the most, I often get constant static, far more than with my previous radio, which was small (did I mention the size?) and less expensive. Static with FM? That's strange. Yes, I'm inside, but it's in a window.UPDATE: seller contacted me offering a refund. IOW, they did not address any of the issues I raised, only the one issue (price) that I did not mention. The refund offer was followed up with a CSR message using emotinal language ("newbie on probation ... need your help to pass my job evaluation"). I found this inappropriate.

Sound quality, built, multiple bands, everything I would ever need from a Weather Radio....only thing I wished I wouldn't have to turn the radio off for the weather alarm to stay on stand by, and once the alarm sounds, it has to manually be turned off or will stay forever sounding, wished it would turn off after a couple of minutes of sounding...other than that it's pretty good

Before purchasing this Sunoony portable am, fm, sw, wb, radio , I read many superb reviews about it. In purchasing this radio and testing it out, it truly lives up to its reputation with fair to good reception on all bands, ease of use, great audio, great added features, etc. for a moderate price radio! Pick it up, you won't be disappointed. I purchased three more to give out as Christmas presents.

I bought this to replace an old analog dial radio that is so hard to tune. With this, all you need is the station number and it sets so easy. Also, can store many stations on both AM and FM. The emergency weather may be handy but so far have not used that.

I like the fact that it has a built in rechargeable battery pack and a USB-C connector plug for recharging the battery pack
