Bavarian Crochet On-the-Go (Annie's Crochet) Paperback – March 1, 2013

I chose Bavarian Crochet on the Go and Learn to do Bavarian Crochet because I have never seen this particular stitch before and thought it was distinct and interesting.The patterns are really beautiful and with some practice a person can make anything from afghans to hats to fingerless gloves. I can't wait to make gifts for Christmas as I am certain that everyone will love the design.Thank you for having these books on your list of products. I know that they will be a huge hit in my circle of family and friends.

The only draw back is the book is mainly a one pattern book. But I do like it. What you see on the add is all there is to it.Pretty pictures and colors show off stiches.

Another great technique, taught clearly. Too bad Annie's didn't have it in stock - thank you Amazon!

No basic instructions for stitches, just patterns

I had hoped for some more interesting patterns and uses for the Bavarian style of crochet. This was pretty average.

I made 3 pot holders. It was fun learning a new stitch.

Great directions for the first time Bavarian Crochet. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn an interesting new design.

Firstly this a VERY thin book.....bordering on a pamphlet! There are some good contemporary patterns....good slouchy hat and wrist warmers and also a nice snood.......but there are NO instructions on how to crochet so if you are a beginner please don't buy this book......if you are an experienced crocheter, you will be fine as the pattern directions are clearly written and easy to follow. Just one other thing that may be worth a mention......Bavarian Crochet eats wool! But on the plus side I have used it quite successfully to use up some of my extensive stash!

I previously bought Annie's "Learn to do Bavarian Crochet' book, and was delighted when I saw this one; this is a fun way to give your crochet a bit of variety and style. The projects are great and the instructions are clear and fairly easy to follow, and the photos are clear. Most of the patterns call for intermediate skills so it is probably a good idea to be a bit familiar with crochet. The 'stitch guide' at the back of both books is well detailed and clearly illustrated.

For a piece centering around a fairly unusual stitch, you'd expect some form of instruction. Unfortunately, the only instruction in this book covers the basic crochet stitches that you would be using in any other project. The patterns are certainly modern and very wearable, but the lack of information on the technique itself is unforgivable.
