Works great in my ceiling fan
The light bulbs fit well in the small light sockets of my ceiling fan. I replaced other light bulbs with these because they give off almost no heat. The former light bulbs were hot to the touch after a couple of minutes of being on. These light bulbs are only slightly warm when touched (even after a longer duration of being on). My room gets hot easily (to the point that I hardly need to turn on the heat when it's in the 30s °F outside), so it's important for me to reduce heat and energy as much as possible during the summer months.They give off a decent amount of light, and I like their soft-white (yellowish) color, which softens the room and matches my light tan walls.

Perfect match to original bulbs!
I have two ceiling light fixtures with fans that were installed close to three years ago. Finally, one bulb burned out. Each fixture uses four bulbs. I figure that the other seven bulbs will be going soon.Selections were few, but these looked like a good bet. When they came, the new bulb installed looks the same and has the same brightness as the originals. These are perfect!

Saving money and better/truer lighting
They are for my wife's bathroom. We have daylight bulbs throughout the house and the yellow tint from the ones she had just didn't help with putting on make-up. The new LED Daylight 5000k bulbs give true colors she loves them.ALSO there are 8 sockets so 8x40 watts = 320 watts. The new ones are 8x5 watts = 40 watts total.They are brighter..True color and a LOT cheaper to operate. Also..they come on instantly no lag :-)

Love them! 2.5 watts are much brighter than the "old-fashioned" 40-watt bulbs I had there before. Sure, they cost more, but give more light, and will save money in the long run. Too bad, they appear to be no longer available on Amazon! The soft white is much better than the natural white bulbs. PLEASE bring them back.
