Great 5G modem for home internet
The media could not be loaded. I purchased the ZTE 5G Cellular modem as a secondary modem for my Ubiquiti home network. It works seamlessly with a 5G T-Mobile SIM card, and is basically plug-and-play.It includes a PoE injector to provide power and connectivity to your network.I purchased the modem for $118 and it is a great value for the price. Compared to less expensive 4G LTE modems, the 5G speeds are significantly better and the build quality of this unit is very good.I would definitely recommend this modem for home network enthusiasts or for those who don’t have access to high speed cable or fiber internet.

Compatible with Google Fi, works out of the box.
Seems well built, comes with good mounting hardware, and out of the box compatible with my Google Fi data SIM. The included PoE injector seems well made, and is appropriately designed for the included length of Ethernet cable. The coverage and bandwidth is as good as with my Pixel 8a, which is really good!It arrived with up-to-date firmware.Crucially, although I'm sure their app is helpful for people who don't have other tools for signal strength and tower selection, you do NOT need to use the app to configure it to run. With Google Fi just make sure to follow the instructions that come with your data SIM (you need to go to their website to activate the SIM with your account).

Works Very Well as a Backup Cellular Option
I have a Ubiquiti UDM and upgraded my Netgear LM1200 4G modem to this 5G modem as a replacement WAN2 secondary Internet connection. I am running the modem on a Google Fi data-only SIM, just like a couple of others have mentioned. Mine also worked OOTB with no configuration whatsoever (manual / DHCPv4). My WAN2 speeds immediately more than doubled, and the latency dropped, as well. I'm very pleased with the modem thus far.The only thing to note, and why I'm giving this 4 stars, is that the POE Ethernet cable is physically part of the bottom of the modem, which connects via 2 screws to the rest of the unit. If anything happens to the flat Ethernet cable, you'll need to get a replacement cable or separate the Ethernet cable from the bottom piece, and then run your own cable, likely applying silicone afterwards in the gaps. Not a huge deal, but they could have easily done something more mainstream, which would allow for a standard Ethernet cable to be used and still keep water out. Again, this was also pointed out by others.

Exactly What I Wanted
I don’t understand anything that isn’t a 5 star review. Solid quality, solid instructions, and I was up and running as a secondary WAN in less than 5 minutes. My experience was plug and play with an under-utilized T-Mobile SIM and a Unifi UDM-Pro. Now I have always on, seamless failover that will pay for itself in only 3 months. Extremely happy and impressed.

I CAN FINALLY GAME! Also view my cameras away from the house!
I have tried so many devices! (Netgear M6, Inseego X2000, Inseego X3000, CradlePoint, Both trashcans from T-Mobile)I immediately ordered another one! This was the game changer! And don't let the negative reviews get to you! I'll explain all that they are doing wrong right now!First of all, plug and play! Insert your SIM, and plug in both ethernet cables to the corresponding connectors on the POE power supply. Have a computer ready with an ethernet wire to a computer or laptop.Inside the box with the paperwork there are two stickers on a peel away sheet with your admin password.Go to 192.168.254.1 and enter your admin password. Next you will get prompted to change the default password.Immediately in the center there will be a 5g connect switch, first disconnect. The box will restart.Go to advanced settings, put the device in wireless broadband mode to use it as a router. This will allow you to connect multiple devices.Under advanced settings there will be an option to change network connection settings and change your APN. The default APN worked fine but was not the fastest available to me. fast.t-mobile.com was the best in my area. There is a wonderful app that walks you through turning and setting up the direction to point the device!I went from connection pings of 87-117 @ speedtest.net to 32 and running pings of 250-500 on the download to 97-103 and 180-240 on the upload to 75-83!!!Download speeds went from 17-28Mbs to 100-115Mbs!And upload from 2.5Mbs-8Mbs to 73-79!This is a blessing! Did I mentioned I ordered a second one!

Works Great
I needed a 5G solution for my boat as I was on T Mobile with a marginal 4G signal due to my prior hardware. It worked out of the box once SIM inserted. Went from 10 to 15 mbs to a consistent 50 plus. It’s now seen some weather, no issues. Marina is in the middle of a big city, and this hardware unlocked the potential. Aiming app works great. Great value!Update, my speed slipped with the same setup this boating season, lucky to get 20mb download. Sometimes I could not even stream HD. Plus I was bumping the TMobile cap monthly. T-Mobile advised that I could switch to their home 5G. Same price, no cap, no equipment fee. I set it up, which simply required plugging it in and plugging in my Orbi router, and wow. See the speed test, and that is consistent. Same location, no external antenna on the TMobile box. Makes me question if this device was really provided 5G even though it said it was. I realize the home 5G service is not available to all, and this device was a solution, but the speed difference with both using a 5G TMobile sim and same towers is eye opening.

Does the TELUS work in the USA?
I dislike the fact that it seems to need a sims card and WAN cables which did not come with the Telus, when I bought it. If it does not work, I have no other choice but to return it.
