Better than I ever expected...

I love it! I love camping. It's a part of who I am and something I enjoy during every season, from -40 F winter nights to sultry summer nights, I go whenever the opportunity presents itself. That said, a couple of weeks ago my age along with the results of a work accident some 14 years ago caught up to me. I went camping with my son and grandson, something i'd been looking forward to for months. Problem was, I had to have my son help me get up off the ground in the morning. I'm used to agonizing mornings, but this was a first. It was devastating. Camping is one of the few things that I still enjoy.Someone recommended a hammock. I was skeptical, but my back was against the wall. I researched every brand I could find and spent a lot of time reading reviews and watching them on You Tube. I wanted a decent hammock for a moderate price, an item that was quality made and yet didn't need to be expedition quality. I chose the Hammock Bliss Mosquito Free. I set it up with no worries. Simple to do even when using a tarp overhead. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that setting one of these up is nearly intuitive. The top of the screen should be placed about one foot above the hammock for the first trial and then lay in it to stretch it out. You may want to tie the lines for the screen loosely just in case since the stretch of the fabric is variable with every situation. Make any adjustments after seeing how much stretch there will be. Every one weighs different and the distance between trees will vary, so this is a good policy each time you set up in a new location. I was so anxious to test this out that as soon as I set it up, I laid down and tried it. It was so much more comfortable than a sleeping pad (even my expensive self-inflating) that I couldn't believe it. I slept in it in my back yard and woke up feeling even more refreshed than if I'd slept in my own bed. Honestly, it was that comfortable. The hammock is very well constructed without the irish pennants that accompany poorly manufactured goods that are sewn together in a sweat shop. The screen material is super strong and any rips or tears that one may experience are either a fluke or due to abuse/misuse. At this point, unless there is a failure in the actual construction of the hammock, it deserves every bit of 5 stars. The only thing that will keep me from using it will be my physical health and not the hammock itself.

This is a great hammock. Not only do I own one of these, but I recently bought another recently to give as a Christmas present. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good camping/backpacking hammock. It will suit your needs and perform well.A big group of my friends and I went backpacking in the summer. To cut down on weight several of us brought hammocks with us. I can honestly tell you that this hammock out preformed the rest of the hammocks. Not only did it have the bug mesh to keep out ticks and mosquitoes but it tied up better, felt lighter, and even looked more comfortable than some hammocks that were double the cost. Several of the other hammocks made the person sleep in a back-breaking "U" shape; this hammock, as long as you tie it up right, will help you stretch out more. The mosquito net works perfectly and will tie up so it is not on your head. The tie ropes for the hammock are pieces of cord about the width of your pinky finger. Some people prefer the strap systems of other hammocks, but I actually prefer this. It is easy to tie it to a tree and it will stay put, as long as you go a couple times around and finish off with a good knot (this should not be a problem with the length of the rope). There is no rain shelter/roof with this hammock but I usually string a tarp up above me if the weather looks dicey.

compfy and relaxing

This is one of those hidden gems in my option. I have been camping since I was in grade school and I don't think I ever slept so well in a tent.Let me break this downPros: bug net built in. durable material longish anchor ropes really comfortable a good economic valueCons: water wicks down anchor ropes in heavy rain I found the directions a bit confusingover all for the money I spent it was a good value and I can see myself using this hammock many times over. I was caught in a bit of rain on my last trip and although I was under a tarp the very ends where the anchor ropes meet the hammock got a bit wet but the part I was sleeping in was dry so it wasn't a problem.

Sleep like a Baby

This is a very good hammock. My favorite feature is the pocket on the inside of the mesh canopy to hold light items like a headlamp or a watch. The stuff pouch by design hangs on the outside once you're zipped inside, so the inside pocket is nice. The ropes are adequately long. I have an identical hammock but with a no-see-um net (rather than the mosquito net this one has), which features a tighter weave on the canopy, but I've found this one to be adequate for keeping bugs out.The whole thing will fit inside of a gallon-sized ziploc bag if you want to keep it dry.I'm 5'8", 140 lbs., and find this hammock to be very roomy and solid feeling--definitely get the sense it could support a much bigger person.
