SENATOR - Large 40cm / 16in Handcrafted Classic Wooden Chess Set

Very nice chess set for the money. The King & Queen are lovely, but the Knights could be better. Just a small thing as we’re really happy with this set.

It’s a very nice design and it’s good that there is a space for the pieces within the board.However the board is very light and is clearly made of cheap plywood (visible from within). In addition to this, the felt isn’t solid; it is movable and not hard.Despite this the pieces are well designed and feel nice and the felt tips reduce noise and increase friction. It also has a metal clip to secure it when it is closed.I didn’t realise this but there is a wierd gap between the board squares and the border which is actually visible in the photos.Good for the price and isn’t necessarily bad

It was a present and the person who received it seems quite happy with this item. I thought it was ok too, nice presentation box, no complaint.

A simple chess set. Light weight pieces. Craftsmanship is acceptable for the value.

Not that well crafted, there’s cracks at one corner of the board and about the pieces, the felt is not well placed, as a result some of the pieces stand uneven on the board and in the case of one of the white knights, the felt is very thin that you can hear the piece scraping against the board as you move the piece.

I was looking for long time for a chessboard like this so good and not too much expensive it is better then the photos I'm so fckin surprised honestly didn't expect to be so good worth of the money every piece and the board amazing feel great with my choice I recommend it to everyone truly guys
