Still on the fence on this one, but it definitely cleans
I’m a nurse, a mom of 2 kids and we have a dog- so my floors have all sorts of nasty stuff on them. My son also has developed some bad allergies- so I’ve been looking at cleaning with steam to help kill things like dust mites and avoid using chemicals that would irritate him.Pros:very easy to set up. It’s 2 steps, sliding the 2 pieces that make up the handle into each other. The cord in my opinion is long enough to accommodate my homes first floor, which is only about 500-600 square feet.Easy on and off of the pad. A heavy duty velcrotab on each corner keeps the pad in place. It is indeed very lightweight. It literally glides over the surface you are mopping. It is small- I can fit this into some narrower places since the head swivels (but the head itself is quite bulky, so keep that in mind).Cons-I don’t think the water heats up enough- I am not sure if this is a defect on my unit or this mop is made this way. I have swiped a single tile repeatedly and have put my bare foot on it immediately after; it was merely warm to the touch. You get a single pad when you buy this unit. For the amount of money I paid for this I would expect at least a pack of 2-3. Also, the carpet glider is not included, which I think should be given for the price.Their are Velcro tabs on the bottom- which might catch lint and dirt later on, making t more difficult for the pads to stick to in the future. The head is a little bulky, and so it might not fit under some kitchen cabinets- But not aproblem in my case.It takes a LONG time for the water to properly work it’s way through the pump, it took much more than 20 seconds. The instructions included say the first time will take a few minutes, but I found a few minutes to be more like 10 minutes. All in all I do like this mop. It really does clean the floors- I used 3 pads to get off all the grime and residue from the cleaners we have used before. The picture I include is AFTER my husband mopped the floors with bleach 8 hours prior. My main concern is that the steam is not hot enough to kill bacteria.I also am confused by people’s comments about it not getting off caked on gunk- no machine can do that with water (not washing machines, not dishwashers, not steam mops), but it will loosen it enough to where you can easily rub it off. There were also complaints of moving dirt around- but it’s a mop not a broom, so I don’t know why this is even a complaint. There were also complaints of it leaving the floor wet, I find it leaves it less wet than traditional mopping, so I can’t complain. I feel like a lot of the complaints in the reviews is a lot of nitpicking, it really is a decent product. I will give it several mores days of trial before I decide if I am going to exchange it.

Good mop -- but do not expect deep cleaning of textured tile
Background: We have a lot of textured tile interspersed with wood (see first photo). The tile and become dirty in its recesses where we walk but, of course, stays clean where we don't. This presents an uneven look that suggests we are terrible housekeepers. We attempted to hire a professional to clean the tile, but even Coit refused to attempt to clean the tile because of fear of damaging the adjacent wood. Thus, we purchased multiple tools from amazon in a DYI attempt. This is a review of the the light n easy mop to clean the tiles in our new home. While our bathroom tile is 'flat' and the steam mop does a nice job on these, the steam mop cannot get dirt out of the recesses of our textured tile (see first photo of 'cleaned' tiles; second photo is the dirty cleaning pads). In short, all it will clean is the surface. While this is helpful, you want to be aware that it won't solve the problem of getting embedded dirt in textured tile. Now a few pros and cons:Pros:1. As the name suggests, it is light and maneuverable.2. We like the square cleaning head.3. It fits under most furniture and cabinet bases4. In operation, it sounds like a steam iron, and the steam is visible; it will even warm the tile a bit.5. The power cord is decent length BUT (see below)6. Seems to work fine on hardwood as well.Cons:1. As I said above, it will NOT get dirt from the recesses of textured tile. That dark gray stuff on the tiles in the photo is dirt (post cleaning). It is also not very effective on grout.2. The water tank has to be refilled frequently. It would be helpful if it were larger. We are using distilled water only.3. You MUST buy additional cleaning pads as it only comes with one. That single pad will get dirty quickly. We purchased two extra and used all three in our first cleaning session (see photo of how pads looked afterward).4. The cord is a few inches too short to wrap the male end of the cord around the built-in cord management system. It only includes a piece of velcro to address this issue. The cord should be a bit longer and the male end should have a way to 'clip' to the other wrapped power cord.Overall, a good product for the price is your expectations are in line with its capabilities.

Easy to use
I spent a lot of time looking at steam mops and determining which one to get. I chose this one for the ease of use, and the ability to wash the mop cloths. I've had it for about a year, and have used it multiple times a week since purchasing.PRO:- It's easy to use, plug it in and start to move it around and the steam starts.- The cord is long, so you can cover some decent distance while using the mop- The window for the water tank is nice, it's easy to see how much water is left in the tank and fill it up quickly- The 4 way hinges on the handle are nice, it makes it easy to maneuver around corners and in tight spaces. It doesn't just go forwards and back, it pivots well.- The cord keeper works well during use and when stored away- The loop handle is nice to be able to hang it up after use, and dry out.CON:My only (very minor) complaint is that it can take a while for the steam to saturate the microfiber pads - I end up taking about 30 seconds to move the mop back and forth to get the steam going and saturate the pad. It doesn't take long, but it is an adjustment if you're used to spray mops that are effective from the first push.Overall, it just takes a minute to get going, but then it works great! I recommend purchasing extra cleaning pads so you can rotate them out - I use one pad in a section of the house, swap it out for a fresh one and then move on to other parts of the house.
