Q: Is it steel inside or plastic inside?

Metal throughout. It's a good design idea but poorly executed. This model doesn't allow air to flow freely into or out of the container so whatever is inside tends to wick up and out through the nozzle and all the way around the plunger. While this model: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YL6YVJ6 has a slightly different appearance, I found it to be much better.

Q: Is it a polished chrome finish?

Thank you for the question. It is actually a brushed chrome finish with special anti-rust coating on the surface which feels smooth when in hand.

Q: will this chrome water spot and or streak from water drips from wet hands?

I do not know, it never worked so I have never used it. After filling with liquid soap the unit would not dispense anything

Q: Is the pump portion of this metal as well?
