HENCKELSForged Synergy Serrated Utility Knife, 5-inch, Black/Stainless Steel

I needed a new knife to use while cooking, cutting vegetables, etc. After reading the reviews, I settled on this one. It's an amazingly good knife and it makes meal preparation a lot faster. It makes my life easier, and I wouldn't be without it. Good quality at a reasonable price.

I have many go-to knives but a 5" serrated utility knife is probably the one I use the most. This little gem is spendy but it's so sharp and so perfect for onion & green pepper slicing/dicing. Also great or tomato slicing/dicing and great for cubing chicken and beef. I ordered this to be an extra to my Kitchen Aid knife which is always in the sink or dishwasher to be cleaned because of the constant use. This knife is much, much sharper and better. Love it!2/18/20 Just ordered my second one for the cabin. My first knife is still sharp and working strong. Absolutely, hands-down my favorite go-to knife in the kitchen!!

I bought this to replace an Ikea knife of the same type. So far I have only used it to separate bagels lol, but if it is anything like my other Forged Synergy knives it is fine. It looks beautiful with my other Henckels knives and with a little care when washing and a nice dry, stays shiny and spotless. These are the nicest knives I have ever owned. I have a real hard time spending hard earned money on kitchen utensils as I am not a chef, I don't even play one on TV. I do however cook...every day, and having a decent set of knives has made it even more enjoyable than it already was.

These are the best knives….and my go-to favorite. Chopping, slicing, cutting…anything. Not too big and not too small; does practically any job. easy to hold and leverage, even when hands are arthritic. I have three now so one would always be available. I hand wash mine and have had my original one for >15 years without any degrading of cutting performance.

This was almost too sharp at first but now that I am used to it and using it for a month or so.. it is perfect... It is a super sturdy knife and sharp super sharp and no places for germs to hide.. one piece metal and easy to hold.

My husband is always searching the kitchen drawer for a Sharp knife. I have purchased other brands of expensive kitchen knives in the past but I always come back to Hinkle's. These serrated knives cut tomatoes steak beautifully.

I love this all-purpose knife. I know it will last for years. Sharp, quality construction. Will add to this every month.

Purchased this knife because it has the right size and the serrations that my husband and I, both vegetarian, find the most useful for cutting various kinds of vegetables. The knife is apparently perfect according to these criteria, but something is wrong with the balance of the knife that makes it veer to the left instead of cutting straight. This make it very difficult to produce even cuts, and, more importantly, makes me always fearful of cutting my hand, as the knife is quite sharp.perhaps it's just a manufacturing defect with my knife, but I'm quite disappointed.
