I cannot say it better the "Return to Awsomeness"
I cannot say it better the "Return to Awsomeness". I loved Kung Fu Panda 1 and though 2 was ok but went a little too dark and gave my kids nightmares (we was 4 at the time). This movie is a complete return to form of everything that made the first movie great. It is funny (in some cases silly, other laugh out loud) and action packed, without going too dark. Me and my not 2 boys saw this in cinema, and (despite the extortionate prices of cinema tickets) left happy. So getting it on was a no brainer.Po is given a new mission, to improve his own knowledge of martial arts he is told to teach. However to defeat resurrected ancient evil he must also learn secret techniques with died with the Pandas. Luckily there might be a couple still around to teach him including one who could be very close to Po personally. However can Po learn what only a few of the greatest master living or dead have ever been able to master. All this and Po's destiny as the Dragon Warrior is revealed. This is just and all round awesome family movie.

Good film, DVD disappointing
Let's start with the DVD itself:Someone at Dreamworks needs to look up the definition of "awesome", because it does not mean "kind of okay"I'm not referring to the film itself so much, but the DVD is very lacking.First of all, the title menu is not the well designed animated menu like the one on the Kung-Fu Panda 2 DVD, it is just a still screencap from the movie, and from quite late in the movie, so a bit spoilery if you haven't already seen the film before buying the DVD, already a bad sign.As for the "extra features", there's no Making-Of, no Deleted Scenes, no Cast Interviews, just a music video, then the same music video again but with karaoke, and a story about how Po came up with "skadoosh" on the spot because he couldn't think of anything else to say, and that's it. I am, frankly, disappointed. Perhaps the lack of DVD features is an attempt to encourage people to pay out for the Blu-Ray version, I hope this isn't going to be a thing with new DVDs now, because that's a really cheap tactic.THE FILMIt's a good film, as kids' films go, though it's not the strongest of the three. Kung-Fu Panda 2 has the best story so far and showed a lot more creativity with its humour, story, and action sequences than this film, whereas Kung-Fu Panda 3 suffers from some of the same problems as the "legends of awesomeness" series, in that it tries to show Po growing but at the same time forgets how much he's already grown in the previous films, and tries to show him learning but at the same time seems to rely on circumstances causing things to suddenly sink in rather than a gradual progression. I also feel that the story focused too much on the mysticism this time rather than being mainly actual kung-fu with a little bit of mysticism as the cherry on top like in like the previous two Kung-Fu Panda films. One last thing, I didn't think the character interaction was as good either, we're introduced to a lot of characters very quickly and without much development compared to the previous films. As for the comedy aspect, pretty much all the funny parts were in the trailer, in fact the trailer even seems to have some scenes that aren't in the movie, and those that weren't in the trailer tend to miss the mark a bit (I am not sure why the main running joke is an old lady getting knocked unconscious, for instance). There are a couple of chuckle-worthy lines here and there though. However, the movie is still beautifully animated -- with expressions, scenery, mystic effects and kung-fu fights all as masterfully rendered as you'd expect -- has good voice acting from the whole cast, and although it's not the best Kung-Fu Panda movie it is still better than many "threequels", or a lot of other movies that came out the same year for that matter. It's overall entertaining, with a good message at its heart, so still worth watching. But the DVD is still really lacking in features, like seriously, not cool, guys.
