Why is the heater only warming up the top part of the water?
Will this produce a noticeably warm stream of water? we have one and what comes out the pipe is barely warm! are they all like this, or is ours bust?
How long is the cable? I don't know how people can achieve plugging these devices in without an extension lead!
Do I need a filter to be purchased to make this work please? I ve just taken this out of the box and it seems to mention filter....

Used on Bestway 10ft fast set pool

So far so good. This does heat the pool but it takes a while. I didn't check the temperature before running the heater, sorry, I forgot, but it was icy cold, I dipped my fingers in and it was unpleasantly cold, you know that feeling that its so cold it feels like a burn?! Anyway we had the heater running for about 30 hours constant to get the heat to about 24ish degrees. I'm going to run it for about 48 hours constantly next time we are due some sun! My 7 year old twins played in it at 24 degrees, they were having so much fun that me and my husband got in with them. It wasn't bath temperature warm but it was warm enough that we stayed in for about an hour - this was in the cold torrential rain this weekend, (don't judge us playing in a pool during the storm, it was a right laugh) we only got out when the wind started blowing the marquee and lifting it and we needed to get out and take it down so it didn't blow away. I was worried that it was never gonna heat the pool but if it was nice enough to play in a storm then I know next time I can run it a bit longer and hopefully get more enjoyment out of the pool when the weather is nice!We don't have an outside socket, so disclaimer- I'm not suggesting anyone else does this, but we got a heavy duty 13amp extension cable and fully unwound it. I kept checking the heater plug and extension plug to make sure they didn't get hot - they didn't. I want to be clear that the instructions say it shouldn't be plugged into an extension cable. (All my other extensions are 10amp.)When I first ran the heater the water coming out felt very cold, I just kept the cover on the pool and every few hours I went out and swished the water round with the pool net. The filter pump i used was the one that came with the bestway 10ft fast set pool. I made sure the filter was clean and the chemicals were all balanced before I ran the heater. All in all, this heater does heat the pool, I was thinking it would only take the chill off but it was quite nice ambient temperature even during the wizard of Oz rain and wind we had! It's not cheap to run, it cost about £10ish for 24 hours. Like I said I'll be running it for 48 next time we have pool weather, I don't think it will need to be on everyday in nicer weather, once the pools warm I'm hoping just to run it for a few hours in the morning but I obviously don't know that for sure . Let's be real, if you want a massive pool in the UK, and you want the kids to actually get in and enjoy it without getting blue lips, its going to cost money. We filled it with cold water from the outside tap because our kitchen tap won't fit an adapter for the hose but at least now I know I can get it warm. This was just a little set up test before the school holidays. If I encounter any problems I'll update.Little update. In the rainy/windy weather this managed to get the pool to 32 degrees. It was a little pricey but I was expecting that and the kids got loads of use out of it.The last few days the weather was really hot, I refilled the pool and put the heater on just while the kids were at school. It cost a few pounds and the pool temp was again at 24 degrees which was warm enough for hot weather without any wind.I would recommend.

A really rubbish product!

We ha e a 4700L steel framed round pool with starting water temp of 16°C . 24 hours usage and water temp increased to 24°C. An extra few hours and solar cover of course and water is above 32°C .It say do not use extension cable but you can if you dont use basic ones. That will definitely overheats. We bought a heavy duty extension lead with capacity of 3720W and 260V and not even warmish after 25hours. It is a great product.Update: it's broken down after 3days🤣🤣🤣 I was sure its a good quality but maybe this is also a Chinese productAn other update: the replacement heater also worked for a few days. This is definitely not worth the money. Dont buy this, instead save up a bit more and pay £600 for a proper heater. Thisone is rubbish!!!!

Amazing product

Ok this great little product does cost a bit on electricity about 65p an hour through our provider buuuut! With the filter combined with a thick sand base for the pool the heat stays in so first day was a bit of a spend but after I switch it on for a couple of hours to top up the heat. Day 1 we were at 24oc, day 2 morning we were at 20oc after 15 hours of switch off.It does take a while to heat it's 1oc every 1 hour in a ten foot pool so for initial use expect there to be a good six hours before you have a noticeable difference. But great product.

Long read but lots of information

After reading the reviews I was a little worried about this purchase but here are my findings. The heater is fairly easy to install, make sure you have a power source close as the cable isn't the longest. I used outside double plug on my shed.Heater is fairly easy to install, make sure your hoses are fitted in correct order from pool to pump to heater back into pool.Once plugged in and combined with our old pump both ran fine for around 10 mins before the power tripped on the fuse board in my shed. I reset and tried 4 or 5 times but same thing kept happening. I moved the pump plug to another shed socket hoping that would solve problem, but again power kept tripping out on the heater. It does say not to use an extension lead but people on here said they had done so fully unwound without any issues. So I decided to plug the heater into my extension lead and plugged it straight into a mains socket in our utility room. This seems to work fine. Not ideal as we had to leave window open overnight. I ran pump and heater overnight for around 10 hours, pool temp had gone from 18° to around 28° so very happy with that!! Use a pool cover if you have one to keep heat in.I got my electrician friend to check my fuses in shed and he told me the fuse in fuse board wasn't powerful enough to run the heater hence reason it kept tripping out. I have now ordered a 20 amp main fuse off Ebay for £6 which he will fit tomorrow, hopefully this will sort the problem.Right ! Running costs 😬 According to my electric meter running the pump and heater costs around £1.15 an hour so its not cheap but then again what is at the moment 🙄So overall, check power supply if you are using outdoor plug socket. Try and place pool near power supply. Use sparingly due to running costs. Heater does work really well and kids are happy. Make sure your pool pump is powerful enough to circulate heated water. Do not use heater without pump running!Sorry for the long winded read but needed to tell MY findings, I'm sure others will have different findings.
