I’d say this is an entry-level security camera. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of higher end models, and it’s not perfect, but it works. If you want to keep an eye on a particular room in your house and you have a WiFi router, then one of these should suit you.Here are the things that I’m not a huge fan of. First, it’s corded. I understand that most security cameras are, but the cable isn’t really long enough to run down a wall or stay flush with a ceiling. I would love to see a wireless model with a rechargeable battery. Second, if your WiFi cuts out, so does the camera (if you have it connected to your WiFi network, which is a required step if you want to monitor the camera while away from home). If you’re being robbed, I assume the first thing the robber would do is cut your internet connection. And last, while this isn’t a huge issue, I’d like to see a way to turn off the LEDs. If the camera is in a dark room, you can easily spot it because of a blue LED and red ones that indicate whether the night vision is toggled on.The instruction manual that comes with this particular device states you need to download the V380S app. However, that’s an error — you should download the V380 app (no S). It provides pretty basic functionality. You can see the live feed, set a motion alarm, and view past recordings (although, no recordings ever work on my device). While viewing a live feed, you can hear audio from the room or even speak through the camera. The sound quality is pretty much that of a walky talky, but you can get your point across. Finally, you can take a screenshot. That’s pretty much the extent of the app.In a dark environment, if you place the camera in the middle of your ceiling, its night vision does a fantastic job. Completely black environments are completely lit up with its infrared lights. Huge plus here.In summary, this is a pretty good security camera. If you’re more serious about home security, then you should perhaps looks elsewhere. But if you only want to keep an eye on one room, or if you just want to spy on your kids, then this may be for you.

The media could not be loaded.  This works very good be aware there is a v380 and v380s app do not use the v380s app it is the wrong app for this camera but looks exactly the same.The video quality of this camera is par for the price range i find the IR night video looks much better than the daylight video.The motion alarm works perfectly but I did have some issues with corrupt files on the SD card you can see at the end of my video the files with out thumb nails are corrupt and cant be read.The app works OK I would change a few things.#1 have a zero out feature so can level the view and lock it so when i am trying to look around it is always level and not always flipping around.#2 I could not get this to file transfer to my phone and download the video but not a big issue i can just grab the sd card and the record right to my phone worked perfectly#3 when i move the camera view around in the app i wish it would stop moving when i take my finger off the screen but instead this thinks it is in space and flying around in a none gravity environment floating aimlessly in the direction I was moving it.The security camera works perfectly with my wifi network and was easy to setup as soon as i had the proper app.I give the camera its self a 5 star because it dose everything that it is advertised as and is the quality I expect in this price range apples to apples.The app I would give 3 stars it needs some refinement but Im sure over time they will fix it like most productsNote: Amazon keeps messing up my video quality after uploaded for full 4k quality please go to my YouTube channel in my profile Reviewthis.us

I have extremely mixed feelings about this camera.The camera itself is small and light, which is good. The package included the means of attaching it to the wall/ceiling.It has to always be plugged in in order to operate, there is neither a built-in rechargeable battery, nor can batteries be inserted into the camera.It is somewhat inconvenient.It was also extremely difficult to set it up through an Android.I am not a tech person and maybe that explains my difficulties.I downloaded the V380 app and tried to follow the directions provided.I have spent a lot of time and felt pretty desperate to go to my husband for help.My husband is an IT person and is very tech smart.He told me that the way the camera is set up is so that it provides the WiFi access point and lets the phone to connect to it.My phone connected to the WiFi provided by the camera, but the the app could not detect the camera.Which is probably related to the Android specifics/smartness (because there is no internet provided by the camera).You had to specifically tell Android to connect to it even though there is no internet.Bottom point: my husband made it work, but the camera needs better instructions comprehensible by an average Android user.And this is where my frustrations ended.The camera itself does a good job. It has a nice 360 degree view that completely covers the small room where it is installed.You can see some clear details of the objects in the close proximity to the camera.The coolest thing about the camera is that when it is set up, you can see the camera data anywhere anytime as long as your phone has internet.I was 5.6 miles away and could still spy on my house :)And here comes the next coolest thing ever.I really like "hold to talk" button in the app, I use it a lot to send the message to my sons upstairs that the food is ready or it is time to leave for practice and such. I have sent a homework message to my son yesterday being 5.6 miles away. Ohhh, was he surprised! I feel like an All-mighty All-seeing Eye :))))The app lets you to turn on/off the audio and quality of the audio could be better. There is a slight delay in the video.You have different view options for when the camera set up on the ceiling vs on the wall. Each of these views has different options to preview your video data also.I like that the app lets you do the screenshots and the share/upload them.I don't use the alarm, but when I tried it actually worked correctly.The app said "Motion Alarm" in the Info section of the app and detected the actual movement correctly.Camera does an equally good job in low- and high-light environments.In the photo: yellowish picture is made in the dark light, and the second picture is with lights turned on.

Great product. Works well I can monitor from my work phone.
