Celestron 44409 3D Bug Specimen Kit #3 (Black, Orange, Brown) & Slides - 25 Piece Box

Second time I’ve ordered from this company, first time was perfect but this time there were a few problems. The biggest problem being the long horn beetle being almost completely covered in an air bubble making it difficult to see, other than that only one or two had very small air bubbles on which is normal but the beetle I was very unhappy with.

Nice samples. They're great for light tables and hand magnifiers. For microscopes, they didn't adequately vacuum them while the plastic set, so there are many air bubbles - especially noticeable on the cicada's wings. Also, I'm not entirely sure if they came scratched, but 6 hours after opening they were awfully scratched making focusing and seeing beneath the scratches a bit tricky. If they could use a harder plastic, it'd be nice.

All of them were dirty, scuffed, scratched, and one was chipped. If you look past that 3 look fine and 1 has air bubbles covering the beetle that makes the black beetle look chrome

I have to agree with another reviewer who commented on the air bubbles present in some of the specimens. Three of the four were of acceptable quality, but the cicada had a few large bubbles near the head and a broken wing. Still usable, but the bubbles, in particular, are quite distracting.

These bugs come in perfect palm sized casings. Sure there are some bubbles, but the price is right! My kids carry them in their pockets and share them with everyone they meet. They're a great addition to a toychest or homeschool lesson. I bought a every bug they make!

These were better than expected. They look smaller in photo, but are actually a decent size acrylic square. Loved the hornet the best. Bought because it had the hornet. The other bugs are nice too and very good quality specimens. Would purchase from this seller again.

I gave these as a gift to my friend's son, but they were so cool I almost wanted to keep them for myself. All four were in good condition, and the acrylic blocks had no bubbles in them. The chafing bug is a beautiful emerald green. My son's friend loved them, especially since he could keep them in his pocket without worrying about crushing them. Makes a great gift for any bug-loving person.

I bought this, the large scorpion and a nice magnifying glass for my six year old great nephew, who I nicknamed the Lizard Stalker if that tells you anything about him, for his birthday and he absolutely loved them and looked at them for hours. I love to buy gifts that educate and he definitely was learning because he asked a million questions about the different bugs, does my heart good.

I have purchased all four sets and my daughter loves them.
