I was debating adding CarPlay to my A4 for the longest time. I looked at replacing my head unit and installing an add on, either one called to tear into my car. This is PERFECT! Good strong suction cup mount and connects within 10 seconds every time! I love the FM transmitter function and makes everything so smooth. Do yourself a favor and buy the hardwire kit. I did mine to a switchable 5amp so I don’t have to worry about parasitic drain. It’s great, I turn the car on, the Carpuride boots, and connects, then turns off when I turn off the car! Great viewing angles, I don’t worry about sun. The screen is very responsive, as good as my 18 F150.

Works very easily out of the box. Lots of options, with Apple Play top of the list. Syncs super easy with iPhone. Best to run sound through car stereo, which is not difficult.Tech support is quick and helpful- I sent them a jpg and they sent me (free) software to change the logo on my boot up screen so it looks as if it is original to my car.Been running it 5 months with no issues. Great update for my pre-Apple Play car for a good price. 4.5 stars. Nothing is perfect!

I saw the listing for this item (and saw several FaceBook ads for it) and have several cars that are too old to have Android Auto in them. I was originally skeptical, but after installing it in my 1995 BMW, it worked perfectly. It connected to my phone (Pixel 6 Pro) without any issues. Waze works great. Phone calls are clear. I had added an auxiliary input to another one of my older cars (a 2000 BMW Z3) and the sound quality is fantastic through the car stereo system (I can even hear it clearly with the top down (and perhaps going a tiny bit over the posted limit).Somehow, in moving it between cars, I lost the lock nut that attaches the mount to the display. I used a tablet stand and a bunch of rubber bands to try to keep it on the dash. I contacted the seller, and they sent me a new part. I'm back in business.This is a great device to modernize an older vehicle. I love it.

It is a little annoying that you have to pick your phone name on a screen every time it is connected to it. Start having trouble connecting and working after one year, and completely broke (has a black screen with green bar on top after 1.5 years) decently will try different product now.

This device gives you Apple Carplay without an Apple Carplay headunit, so it does what it is supposed to do.I ended up sending my unit back because I found the 7-inch screen on my dashboard to be distracting. My OEM 2017 Toyota headunit allows me to do most Carplay functions, and I'll just stick with that. I was also concerned about leaving this device on the dashboard as it might invite someone to break into my vehicle.There is nothing wrong with the unit. It works very well and does everything it is supposed to do. It just wasn't a good fit for me.

This was a great replacement for the factory Nav screen on my Land Rover LR3. Function is great, relatively quick boot up, reliable so far. The custom boot screen is a nice touch keeping it OEM-looking. Only regret is not getting this earlier

The device response to touch screen input is slow -- apparently due to an inadequate processor. It glitches, slows audio playback and is currently stuck in a loop replay of a Spotify track, from which it won't extricate, necessitating a full reset back to its flawed status. There is no obvious way to update the OS at the Carpuride website. So, in sum, I regret the purchase. I didn't have need of the device until months after the purchase, so I didn't discover its operational drawbacks until it was too late to return. In sum, a brilliant idea, but with a compromised execution, seriously limiting its utility. I'm using the Carpuride device with an Apple iPhone 12 Pro with current IOS.

I have a 2010 Lexus RX350. The factory screen is out of reach and not touchscreen. I looked for a while to find a way to get a carplay capable screen in the dash but there was nothing. I figured for only $200 I’d give this a try. Works great, easy to install. I plan on taking my dash apart to run wires underneath, all the extra wires (power and aux) is the only downside I’ve seen so far to this screen (other than where I chose to place it covers my factory screen so I can’t see the backup camera anymore). Definitely worth it in any older vehicle where you want wireless carplay!
