Wow ... really works!
Wasn't expecting much, especially having smelled the aroma, however have found this balm to be deeply relaxing and sleep assisting. Have definitely been sleeping better and deeply since starting to use it. Only need a very light smear on temples, behind ears and on pulse points, for it to be effective. Will definitely be buying again, although I think the pot will last fairly well.

An expensive product but good for a gift
SPA CEYLON DE-STRESS Harmonising Balm arrived in a printed box that was not film wrapped - so no plastic wrapping👍. The box is attractive and suitable for a gift.Printed on the box are the ingredients and the expiry date (04/2027). The ingredients are all natural (see photo). The balm (25g) is contained in an attractive blue glass bottle - the balm itself is a cream colour. The scent is strong and citrusy/frankincense in nature - fine to rub on muscles but not a perfume type of scent. The barm is light and it is easy to apply to the skin and penetrates well - so it will be hydrating. It may well be cooling and may work on a muscle injury - not sure about the de-stress claim. This is a good quality balm but none of the ingredients are organic. The current price is £13.00 for 25g (so £520/kg) - an expensive product but good for a gift.

Perfect as a gift, and a reasonable price (some ingredients eg sandalwood are expensive !)
The balm arrived in a lovely patterned cardboard box and in a vivid blue glass jar (a big tick for me as I'd really rather not use plastic given a choice). The balm is also all natural ingredients including numerous essential oils, some of which I know are expensive (eg sandalwood in particular). I could smell the balm as soon as I took the lid off. It smells exotically warm-woody with an uplift of various citrus scents. You only need a bit on one pulse point or two, the scent will last all day (I actually added too much the first time - both inner wrists & neck, and had to wash some off after the first hour). The essential oils are used in aromatherapy and ayurvedic treatments to support the de-stress, harmonising, calming & relaxing claims. This balm will last ages & ages and would make a lovely gift.

Calm Balm
I have always found these type of balms to be quite effective. They smell wonderful and it does encourage you to relax when you breathe them in.You don't need a lot a small dab on your pulse points lasts all day, I find using these prior to train travel a great help.Packaging is lovely, a glass jar always gives a more luxurious feel than plastic and this one is blue so would look great in your drawer with your other products. They are a bit expensive but if you are looking for a gift these would be ideal

Didn't get the aroma
I've tried balms in Sri Lanka before and they have always been good products. The Spa Ceylon products aren't from Sri Lanka but attach the Ceylon name to their range.I didn't go too much on the smell of the De-Stress balm, I'm afraid. I'm a big fan of citrus scents and I love sandalwood but I just didn't find any of those aromas coming through and it's not strong enough to be able to smell it unless it's right up to my nose. I didn't get a sense of calm or feel relaxed.I found the balm quite greasy when applying to the skin and is better in small quantities and spread over a bigger area. It was also a bit grainy when it came out of the tub but this dissolved when rubbed. Although the pot is really attractive I found that it was difficult to get the balm out as the opening is very small and you have to get your finger right in. The balm is very soft, verging on liquid, so maybe storing it in a fridge might firm it up (not tried).I think I prefer the Peace balm, which I also ordered, to the De-Stress balm as the smell was more pronounced.Attractively packaged, they would make a lovely gift or as part of a pampering hamper.

Beautifully fragranced.
The product arrives in a beautifully designed box which contains a vibrant coloured jar of stress relief balm. It’s small enough to carry around in your handbag. On first opening I found it had a pleasant fragrance which was reminiscent of visiting a spa, however now it’s been on my wrist for an hour, I can smell the citrus undertones. It was easy to apply and it absorbed nicely without leaving any greasy residue. I can’t comment on its stress relieving properties, but having a discreet smell of your wrist at times of stress acts as a distraction and helps you take a deep breath. At 17.00 at time of review, I do consider it value for money based on the scent and the fact only a small amount was needed, so it should last a while.I am happy with this product and I think it would make an ideal gift and be appreciated by the recipient.
