I had long wanted to learn how to re-string pearls, and the catalyst to actually take that step occurred when one of my favourite vintage strands of freshwater pearls finally snapped.I would definitely recommend practising with beads prior to launching into an actual project, but once you get beyond that initial learning curve, this product works as stated...and very well, at that. I found that my biggest obstacle was learning to keep the silk fairly loose after knotting, at which time it was very easy to snug the knot tightly against the pearl either by using this tool or a pair of jeweller's tweezers.It took me about a day and a half to become proficient enough to complete my re-stringing project, and I consider it a more than reasonable expenditure of time in exchange for the skill learned. This tool was exceptionally helpful, and I highly recommend it!

It took a while to get the hang of using it. I had to watch the Bead Knotting Tutorial over and over again. That video was way more helpful than the instructions that came with the tool. Also the sharp tip had a tiny bend, so it kept catching on the silk thread. I was able to straighten it gently with needle nose pliers and move on. It was less expensive doing it myself than to taking the pearls to a jewelry store.

Great product. Purchased for help knitting between pearls on a necklace I made for my sister. Helps exponentially and makes me feel confident in the security of her necklace in case of breakage.Very satisfied.

This is just a simply designed tool, after using it once for the first time, I felt that this tool is overly priced. If you can find a similar one at a lower cost, go for it. Having this tool does make the knotting easy for the first-timers like myself.

This thing doesnt work all that well. Something about the design makes it hard for me to use and even reading the package all it seems to be is here is a short needle to wrap around your thread. It'd be better to be longer and not bulky in the middle

I am 100% happy with this tool. My very first try and I restored a strand of pearls I haven't worn in a decade because it needed to be repaired.

LOVE this tool. I wear pearls all the time and have had a few of my older strands break lately. Most jewelers won’t restring and if they do it’s expensive. This little tool is easy to use and worth every penny. Highly recommend.
