Best setup for the money
Researched quite a bit and found that this setup was the most compatible with the existing LG TV and LG soundbar that I already have. Setting up the Mixer to work with everything else wasn't very straightforward, but I finally landed on the solution that balances audio quality (little to no delay) with aesthetics and ease of switching to and from karaoke to normal TV or streaming.I imagine similar set up can work for other branded TVs and Soundbars, but here are two potential methods for setting up that I settled upon after a fair bit of trial and error:1. (Recommended) a. Google Chromecast -> LG TV (HDMI non-ARC input), b. Mixer (HDMI ARC output) -> LG TV (HDMI ARC input), c. Mixer (Optical out) -> LG Soundbar (Optical in). While there was little to no delay in the mic input and music, this set up meant that I could no longer use my LG WOWCAST, which would otherwise connect by LG TV with LG Soundbar without the need for an HDMI or optical cable. Also, now if the Mixer is off, my normal TV sound output comes out through TV internal speakers; and therefore, if I want to use the Soundbar, the Mixer must be on with TV audio passing through the Mixer to the Soundbar.2. (Not recommended because of an annoying half second delay in audio from the mics): a. Google Chromecast -> Mixer (HDMI input), b. Mixer (HDMI ARC output) -> LG TV (HDMI non-ARC input), c. LG TV (HDMI ARC input) -> LG WOWCAST -> LG Soundbar (wirelessly using WOWCAST). While this meant that I only had one HDMI cable going from the Mixer to the TV, and no audio cables going to the Soundbar, it also had a significant audio delay that I could not seem to resolve via any settings or adjustments to my setup.

Pairing to TV/Soundbar not as easy as others
The mics paired to the device on first boot up. I didn’t have to change the frequency like the directions stated. (Easiest part)Pairing the unit to my TV/Soundbar was a little frustrating at first. I have a Samsung TV with a Samsung soundbar. The TV and soundbar pairs seamlessly together - who would’ve thought? Anyways, thinking that this unit would be the same was on me. The directions have you different options for different setups. Here’s what I had to do to get mine to operate:1. Connect power to the unit with provided usb and wall adapter2. Connect hdmi (e-arc) from TV to the unit’s hdmi (e-arc) port3. Connect optical cable from karaoke unit to soundbar.4. Go to TV settings > sound > expert settings > change digital output audio format to “PCM”EDIT: My Samsung TV has an “auto” function for this setting that you can leave5. TV settings > sound > sound output to “HDMI”6. Change the settings on my sound bar input to “Digital Input”I’m not sure why I couldn’t get my HDMI (e-arc) to work through my soundbar, but it works now and that’s what matters to me. However, it is a little annoying to have to switch through the different settings and different remotes when I want to use this karaoke setup. I guess if I had an actual mixer setup, I’d be in the same boat with changing outputs each time. At least with this, I don’t need to have a huge space dedicated to it.- a couple more things to add:The mics have great feedback to the soundbar without any delays. The settings knobs for reverb and echo will adjust both mics and not individually.Hope this helps someone else out there!

Bummer - defective AGAIN
Bought this portable Karaoke mic and mixer for our soundbar TV set up. Had to watch couple of video's online to figure out how to pair and hook it up with our particular set up. Finally figured it out but only 1 mic worked. Contacted the Amazon tech support. Ran through all the suggest steps in a live chat. In the end they agreed to send out a whole new karaoke system provided that we return the defective system. So we agreed. The new Karaoke mic and mixer came in 2 days. We hooked it up and it worked great.....for about 2 month :( In total we have used the set 4 times for about 1 -2 hours each time. Then last week the same thing happened with the first set, only 1 mic would pair we tried everything. Now both mics wont pair. Truly disappointed. Now I cannot return it because its past the return date.

Works well, but not on Soundbar
We hooked these up and tried to get it working on a soundbar with an Apple TV using HDMI Arc and had significant delays from the mixer. However, switching to a true audio mixer these worked well enough. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone trying to get it setup for a soundbar. Also the mics notoriously cut on and off
