. Gueray Portable CD Player [review no. 0940 - January 8, 2022] I purchased this item July 2021. I wanted to use it for several months before I left any comments.WHY I PURCHASES THIS ITEM: I like to listen to audio books - books on CD's - and wanted something small and portable with built in speakers. My previous battery-operated unit died, and this was my replacement.WHY THIS PARTICULAR ITEM: Price. It was the lowest in its category and seemed to have all the features I desired. If upon receipt the unit was unacceptable for my needs, I know I could return it via the local UPS store to Amazon.USAGE HISTORY: Since July 2021 I have listened to approximately 10 audio books consisting of 60 CD's.POSITIVE COMMENTS: I have had no audio issues with this device. My last unit used 2 AAA batteries this device has a built-in rechargeable battery. It came with a cable you plug into a UBS cell phone charging plug [which is plugged into a wall socket]. There are two lights next to the charging port- RED it's charging BLUE it charged. Disconnect the plug and your good to go. I haven't measured it but based upon my usage I would say you get 5 to 6 hours to a charge. I prefer the rechargeable batteries if you want to know. The sound quality of the audio books is surprisingly good considering the small size of the speakers and I don't have to turn the volume up to max. I have played some classical music and the sound was "ok" but imagine trying to get a Mahler symphony out of those matchbox speakers! You have a full set of controls but for my use I just use 'play" and "Off"NEGATIVE COMMENTS: The unit is small and is loaded with buttons. Treat it carefully, follow instructions and don't drop it! Not a unit for a child or a knucklehead I say. Otherwise, I have no issues - honestly what I want it to do it does - and does it well and is still working - what more can I say to that.

This is the second Gueray CD player I bought. I'm still using the first one and really like it, but it doesn't have external speakers. This one does, and that's why I bought it. I was disappointed to find the speakers are fairly weak even at top volume. It's ok if you're indoors and fairly close to the player, but outdoors it just doesn't do the job.

I have gone through tons of disc players over the years as I use them to listen to audio books as I garden and work. And the worst part of the old players is all the batteries. But with this player you no longer are dependent on batteries!! Easy to charge, easy to use and has a speaker so you can listen without ear buds. I don’t know who came up with this model but they hit it outta the park!❤️

The volume dial does not work properly. I am very disappointed.

I wanted a CD player for the car to listen to my Bible CDs. This is the only way I can play them. I do not know who was the brainiac who decided we did not want a CD player in our cars. I do not have music on my phone, and I do not want it.

This player worked well for 18 months, then the battery ceased to accept a charge. I contacted the seller through Amazon, asking if a replacement battery pack is available, but did not receive a reply.I have now bought another brand of player, along with the Asurion 3 year warranty.

The media could not be loaded. As most of new cars, the 2020 Chevy Malibu did not come with a CD player which was very disappointing.After comparing several portable CD players and based on the reviews, decided to purchasethis unit (Gueray ASIN B08HVG9M3X) Very pleased with it. Easy to connect to car audio system. Being rechargeable is a plus. Stereo speakers are great when using it around the house.Everything is ok so far. If anything changes, will update.

I've been looking for a portable music player for my kids that doesn't use Bluetooth and is easy to use and can play music outloud without being too loud. This is the perfect player! My kids love it and I love it too!

Also den Player habe ich jetzt ein paar Wochen im Einsatz. Und er funktioniert super. Sind zwar nur einfache Kopfhörer bei. Bei dem Preis ist das völlig ok. Und die integrieten Lautsprecher sind für mich super. Gut für Sprachtraining.Und der Akku hält für mich ziemlich lange (Kannte halt nur die Batteriebetriebenen)

Veramente sorprendente, un suono da non credere. Assolutamente da consigliare, piccolo, leggero, facile da utilizzare, ingombro minimo, fa ciò che volevo: ascoltare i miei tanti amati CD in giro per casa.Peccato che ho dovuto fare il reso del mio acquistato da Warehouse, per la prima volta era disfunzionante: una volta carico non funzionava se non collegato alla corrente. Servizio fantastico da Amazon come al solito!

La única pega que le pondría, es que al incorporar dos altavoces pequeños, el sonido tampoco es comparable como el de un equipo de música, pero lo compensa con su versatilidad y autonomía de la bateria, se puede escuchar en cualquier sitio sin necesidad de corriente o pilas.
