If you're like most people including myself you buy an electric razor you run it until the blades get dull and then you buy more blades, you clean it from time to time if you remember or if you're really not getting a close shave. The last razor I bought however came with this option and previous razors I didn't do this or use this or even know about this but to my surprise setting my razor on top of this cleaning solution a couple times a week even and just letting it run for 90 seconds, works pretty well. Blades aren't excessively expensive in my opinion but it's just one more thing that if you don't need to buy it quite as often why not go that route instead? This stuff keeps the blades nice and sharp and conditioned and removes all the extra debris that you're not going to get off of them by rinsing it under the faucet. It's definitely a good substitution or a helper even in between taking your blades apart and cleaning them with a brush cuz even then you're not going to get everything off of them. In my opinion this does make your razor blades last a long enough tom compared to not using this that it's worth the purchase.

I was really surprised at how clean the shaver is after running through the cycle. Way cleaner than you can do with a quick brush out. I honestly thought at first it was an unneeded expense at first, but these refill canisters last longer than I expected and it is one less issue to deal with in the mornings. Can you live without them? Yes. But they beat out opening the shaver everyday to clean it and then cleaning the shaving dust out of the sink.

These pods should not be refilled so if you want to keep cleaning your Norelco razor with the quick clean pod system, you need a new cartridge every 1-3 months (depending on how often you use and clean the razor). Technically, you can take the pods apart and try to clean them out and replace the liquid but they don't sell the cleaning liquid separately so your options are using the pod or just washing and oiling the electric shaver by hand.The foil seal on each cartridge is a little hard to remove, just be careful not to spill, or just open it over a plate/pan that is easy to clean.Tip, keep the black plastic lid and container the cartridge comes in so you can put the old cartridge in it before throwing it out so it doesn't spill.I think for most people it's worth the 5.33/cartridge every few months for the convenience. Although i am concerned about the amount of plastic waste this generates. Hey Norelco, do you think you could switch to a bio-degradable container or would that not be able to hold the oily lubricant?

If you want to maintain your shaver ge this product. I have used this for over a year shaving once a day. Blades are still sharp, totally cleans the shaving head and has lubricants to keep it like new. While you can use the shaver in the shower I for one did try it and after drying the pod found whiskers that the shower missed. I advise if you love your shaver than use the pod system.

If you have a Norelco electric razor that includes the cleaning pod, I recommend grabbing these refills when you can, as the pod that came with your razor doesn't last forever. Norelco recommends changing pods after a given number of shaves; I figure you'll find yourself wanting to do this about once a month. Each box contains two pods, so you've got two months' worth of shaves going on, here -- and it's not just about keeping the razor clean. The process will also help keep the shave head lubricated and, in turn, your face. I love my Norelco and I love to keep it functioning well as it was an expensive investment. Take care of your investment by keeping it clean and functional; you'll thank yourself!
