Six Months And It Died
I purchased this controller for my Austin XL that I've had since 2018. I was excited about being able to change the temperature and monitor the grill temp from my phone. This board didn't last through the six month point and I found out that Pit Boss doesn't honor a warranty on parts purchased through their store front on Amazon. I purchased mine on 2/14/24. The screen died about three months, after about 6-7 cooks. I called customer service but found out about their policy. Last night DURING A COOK, the whole board died and shut off the grill. Looking up this board online I now see this isn't an isolated issue. Simply unacceptable.

Terrible! 7 months later and it’s dead
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband in December 2023… 7 months later and our Pit Boss stopped working my husband had the OEM still and replaced it back with what came from the manufacturer and now our grill works again. For the price of this I do not recommend. If I could do 0 stars I would how extremely disappointing to already not work

I really like this so far
there is some work to getting this installed, i bought it to upgrade my pit boss Lexington. so far it is great and I am loving the bluetooth and wifi controls. I have made quick trips to the store to pick things up while cooking and been able to go in to town and know what the smoker is doing

Easy install works great.
My display went out on my Austin XL grill and i saw this and since it was WIFI i gave it a try.I found that it was very easy to install and the WIFI feature works well.

Will not hold temp with in 30 degrees not worth the money of your own control
Not a good upgrade temp doesn’t hold plus turns off before 500 and will not maintain a constant temp so removing and replacing the original panel a very waste of 197.00 don’t waste your money to plus pulls an error code e4e at high temp and keepsGoing 600 + before unpluging so switching back to original yep got screwed on this deal way to go pitboss.. really enjoyed your product until now

Crazy temp swings
I "upgraded" to this but have since returned it and went back to the old controller. This unit could not hold the temp very well, would go from +/- 75 degrees of setpoint.....you can't cook like that, defeats entire purpose of an electronic controller. Very disappointed because I wanted the wifi capability.

Did not fit mine even though it appeared correct. Sent it back.
