Q: Would you say it is safe to put 2 headphones on one hook?

I would it say it would definitely be able to hold the weight. It may be a bit difficult to hang them on there without overlapping.

Q: What is this clamp made of ? Plastic ?

Yes the whole thing is plastic other than the sponge pad in the clamp to keep it gripped to the desk without scratching.

Q: Does anyone know how wide the clamp opens?

GETS JOB DONE PERFECTLY, LOOKS NICE TOO!!!

Good hanger for my newly bought headphone, although I am not sure how long the spring mechanisms will be in perfect working condition. Still an awesome product for the price. Better to have this hanging from a wall rack, than buying a stand for headphone that would take up desptop space.
