I highly recommend this product! We got the traps yesterday morning, set them up that afternoon and we caught our little visitor that first night.The traps are easy to set and baiting was simple. We used 2 tiny pieces of cheese in each side of the bait holder and another small piece inside the trap, at the back, for good measure.We released the mouse in a field not too far from our house (but far enough!) and the trap was easy enough to open. I had to use 2 hands to do so, one holding the trap and the other to maneuver the back out of place to open it up. It was a little tricky to keep the mouse at the end away from my hand, but a little shake kept him there. He ran off and we are all happier for it!

It works! Caught our unwanted guest immediately. Super safe and humane works very easy. The set up was easy. I was afraid of releasing the mouse but the little door was easy to release and the little mouse was free to go. I followed instructions and drove to a park few miles away and I never saw the mouse again.

It's that time of year when cold and hungry field mice squeeze their way inside looking for food and heat. I don't want to kill them, but I don't want them in my workshop or garage, either.I bought four traps. One arrived broken (not worth the return; I tossed it.) I used a slice of cheese to bait the other traps. The food container is really small, and has a piece of plastic dividing it in half so you can't put something like a cracker with peanut butter in there. I used a single slice of cheese, split it into fourths, and then split each fourth in half and (1/8) and put 1/8 of a slice of cheese in each side. Since the fourth trap was broken, I just ate that piece of cheese. Yum.The following morning I checked the traps and had caught two mice. One was dead (heart attack?) and the other was scared to death. I let him go on the far side of my yard (3/4 acre lot) and 15 minutes later, he was back. If you're going to do "catch and release," be prepared to take them at least a mile away. I caught him again with the same trap in the same spot with the same cheese and took him further away.These things are easy to set and mostly easy to use. The compartment that holds the food (which is also how you release mice) is difficult to open, especially with a mouse running around inside. It's also difficult to see if there's a mouse inside. I used a flashlight and it's still hard to see them. It's easier to just see if the door is open or closed. If it's closed, you have a visitor.

This is the best mouse trap, easy to use, easy to clean. We caught a mouse the first night we used it. Very humane. I highly recommend these traps.

Work great. Dark tint great for blending in. Easy to set up. Not as easy to clean. Not easy to remove old peanut butter and not easy to get clean underneath inside. But works well, fits in smaller spaces and mice are drawn to it. Live that they are harmless to people or pets. Even though they are meant to release mice I am using to catch and then I have to dispatch the mice. If I let them go outside they will just come back inside again. Love how safe and effective they are.

I followed the instructions but never caught the little rodents. They were living inside the chimney space where ashes are removed. They never took the peanut butter bait. I ended up pulling the cover off the shoot to make it open and cold, they moved on to somewhere and I refitted the panel so they couldn't get back in.

These are GREAT little mouse traps. To begin with we set up two in the garage and caught a mouse in less than an hour. Ended up setting up three in the garage, and over the past 4-5 days have caught 7 or 8 mice - awesome!! (Also gross, but we live in a farming area and tend to get mice.) Our ONLY complaint is that the mice can (and did) chew the little tab that holds the trap door open, making them one-time use. So now 2 of the 4 traps are useless unless we can figure out a way to make a new tab. The traps from this vendor are a good price; for those wondering if these traps are less effective than ones that look the same but are more expensive we don't think so. The chewable tab is likely a weak spot in all.Pro: extremely easy to use, and not having to re-bait the traps after catching a mouse is a huge plus. These work GREAT.Cons: The tab that holds the trap door open is the weak point. If they can make a stronger tab, or make it metal so the mice can't chew through it then this would be perfect.

These are a great way to live catch a single mouse, easy to set up. But its flaw is that the mechanism that traps the mouse in can be chewed by the mouse, if it’s in there long enough (mine have been in for less than a few hours) it will chew through the plastic catch. The mouse will still be in there, but you won’t be able to reset the trap.
