WernerPK70-1 Ladder Leveler with 2-Base Unit Attachments

This is a little work to mount on the ladder and requires drilling. Once installed it allows leveling the ladder and provides a very stable and safe footing for the ladder vs trying to prop the ladder with rocks, boards, etc.

Very good upgrade to extension ladder! Put this on an older fiberglass ladder, really makes it secure on uneven ground!

Overall I am pleased with this product. The one thing I do not like (so far) is how easily the bolt heads are stripped. I set my torque wrench at 9 psi as instructed and ended up with 5 of 6 bolt heads stripped. When the bracket comes loose I'm going to have one heck of a time getting it tight again. I just might replace those bolts ASAP. Are they manufactured to strip right at 9 psi? That would be silly.

Listen, if your on the fence, press the button!You will never be sorry for one second. If you have the 24" werner fiberglass with the two braces under the bottom rung, go ahead and measure 6 inches. Black dot all three center and glue your spacers then clamp the unit to your ladder and drill through slowly with recommended size drill bit, bolt up your done. By the way, you have to lay the ladder down after putting any weight on the leveler to remove device and the safety pin has to be removed as well. Best money I have spent in a long time!

I'm so glad i purchased this. Although initially expensive in my mind for the size of it compared to cost of the ladder, it was so worth it. I have used it several times already on both handicap ramps and uneven terrain around houses. It has proven to be solid and I feel safe going up 20-30 feet so far using this. I would purchase another one for any other ladders I get in the future.

I added this to a Werner type 1AA heavy duty fiberglas 24 foot extension ladder. Installation was easy, only required drilling a few holes at the base of the ladder. My house sits on a pretty steep grade from front to rear. Several times a year I have to clean the rain gutters (20 plus foot elevation). This makes the job easier, and more importantly, safer. I no longer have to worry about an unstable ladder. If you think it’s over priced, think again. Think about the cost of a visit to the Emergency Room and subsequent treatment. Recommend.

Works well in leveling the ladder. You can extend the leveler easily with your foot while holding the ladder. I use it all the time, even when on even ground because it provides a wider base. It's aluminum so it doesn't add much weight to the ladder. The instructions for installation are good, but I just measured the bottom hole then used the attachments as a template for the other holes.
