Simply does the job.
I use this to keep me honest while doing Physical Therapy reps. It also lets the trainer know when I've finished a rep so they can work with someone else until I "come up for air." It is easy to change the setting to match what the trainer wants and I can set a beep so "everyone" knows where I'm at in the cycle or use the vibrate setting to keep things quiet. Love the rechargeable version. I've used this every day for a month and it still shows a full charge. Uses USB micro to recharge. Had an AAA cell version before and that worked the same way, but I think the Charge is worth the few extra $. The backlight comes on automatically when first activated and stays on if you are programming the intervals, but turns off while running. Makes it easy to set changing intervals on the fly. I keep one in my gym bag so I'll always have it, and one at home for the days when I don't have a PT session.

Great Timer for High School Fastpitch Softball Umpire
Great timer. It remembers your setup from previous use which is nice. The directions that come with it are in 6 different languages but aren't in great detail. I would highly suggest visiting their website (gymboss.com) and look under Help for detailed setup and use instructions.I heard about this timer at a fastpitch softball umpire clinic. The rules state that teams are only allowed 1 minute between innings and the defense can be penalized if they take longer. Teams were taking 2 to 3 minutes between innings so umpires are now encouraged by the National Federation to enforce the 1 minute rule.Umpires are using this timer to set up 2 alarms running back to back, 45 seconds for pitcher to warm up and 15 seconds for catcher to throw down. So I'm trying it out. When I press the Start button, these two alarms run. At 45 sec, I feel the vibration from the belt clip and tell the catcher to throw down. What I like about the Vibrate setting is first, being outside, I may not hear the alarm and secondly, you can set the length of vibration. I have mine set at 2 seconds so I don't miss it. All I have to remember to do now is hit the start button at the end of each inning to begin the timer.

Great quality
Purchased to time PT exercises after surgery. Works well every time. Great quality.

Works well for repeat cycles of timed exercise
I have some repetitive cycles of PT exercises and it’s easier to use this timer than setting my fit bit or phone as you can just touch a button to restart instead of having to swipe a screen or fiddle with having to get a screen back up. I would prefer a batter instead of ISB charging. Have not had it long into see how long a charge lasts.

Good quality
Exactly what I needed for my HIIT workout!Simple and effective. Small readout but mainly listening for the beeps, so still gets a 5

Perfect for weight training in the gym.
Very useful for maintaining consistent intervals between sets. This version is rechargeable and the battery lasts a very long time. The beep is also loud enough to hear even in the noisy gym environment.

I'm Super Impressed!
Sure you could download an interval timer app onto your phone, but I've found the few that I've tried to be unintuitive and clunky, plus you have to lug your phone around the gym or on the mat or wherever.Pros:* Rechargeable* Easy to set rep amount, rep time, rest time, and the alert function.* Backlit display* You can opt between a beep alert, a vibrate alert (handy when trying to remain incognito), or both at once.* Great battery life* Clip for belt or waistband, akin to a Motorola pager of the 90's.Cons:* Just one... I wish it had a different sequence of beeps or vibrations (alerts) between start of rest and end of rest. The alerts are the same, 2 beeps or 2 vibrations signaling start of rest and end of rest, and sometimes, if I'm not paying attention, I get confused and start the rep when I'm supposed to rest or vice versa. If one beep/vibration signaled the start of the rest period, and two signaled the end, it'd be less confusing for me. That's it. Clever little device other wise.
