It is an unique book of oral histories. The stories are of a lot of travelling in the former USSR before settling in Kyrgyzstan, famine and the failure of Kolchoz agriculture, and sometimes melancholy to a situation that everybody was poor and had work, even it had no function.In the sovjet system people who worked hard came in prison and or lost their properties. People were not respected unless they were party member.Racism is many times an item.I travel to Kyrgyzstan this summer and I have been there. It gives a total new look on the history of this country.
