Aside from getting a little itchy most of the time they do keep your head, face and ears warm and toasty.

Soft and looks good on very warm.

Very warm, but when over face, doesn't cover neck as well like shown in pictures. Also, the sewing is bad. Before wearing I had to sew a few places on my partners, and the top of mine wasn't sewn at all, I had to sew the whole top piece.

These are warm but wish they were a little bigger. I can still wear them. Make sure to wash them prior to wear. I gave them a 4 because they seems a little flimsy and I haven't test them out as yet. Regardless of this I will still recommend.

I had an older balaclava that was loosely knitted where it goes around my face and neck. I had to wrap a scarf around it if it was really frigid or there as a strong wind. Now I can just wear this hat. It's almost too snug around my face, but is strectching a little each time I wear it. They're not as snug on my wife's face, since she has a smaller head.

The grey hat was perfect, but the black hat had a defective lining that was barely attached to the outer shell.

this hat is amazing because it can shift on the fly and still looks good in the style it changes into because not a lot of these all-in-one- hats deliver on the "fashionable" department after you've rolled and folded it into whatever other attire it promised on the box but this one looks quite schnazzy as a i) hat ii) hat+earmuff iii) hat+mask iv) hat+neck cover
