the frame is metal. i don’t know why people are saying it’s plastic.bearings and cutter seem fine after several cuts. the bevel cutter is ok but a file works better for me getting rid of the burrs.

I needed to make a couple dozens cuts in 19mm OD aluminum tube for a project, and I was nervous about getting a cheap plastic no-name Chinese tool like this, but for the cost, I figured if it lasted long enough to finish this one project, it'd be worth the money. And the good news is yeah, a couple dozens cuts through aluminum tube and it's still going strong. Every cut was clean and easy and square.One thing to note is that there is a subtle flare out on the tubes after the cut. Fraction of a millimeter, but enough to interfere with my application. This may be a property of how all of these kinds of cutters work, not just this specific one, I don't know. But a couple seconds of twisting with the included chamfer tool was enough to knock down the flaring enough for my purposes.I don't know how this would hold up against cutting something like steel, but softer metals like aluminum or copper seem to be no problem. The all-plastic construction gives me doubts in regards to its longevity, but I just needed it to get me through one project and it rocked it, so I'm alright with the money I spent.

Works great and easy to use. Also includes a burr grinder to smooth out the cut edge.

Used it to cut 0.096 316SS tubing. Fast, perfect cuts. Highly recommend.

Based on a few negative reviews, I had low expectations about this product. Boy, was I ever pleasantly surprised. I bought the Tolesa Pipe Cutter to take out part of an old unused gas pipeline (didn't feel like spending the rest of my life cutting through it with a hacksaw). Didn't take long to sever the pipe, even given the fact that it was buried a few inches underground. I highly recommend it!
