Let me be clear. YOU CANT FIND THIS PRODUCT IN THE UNITED STATES. I know, because I've scoured the internet. I think that I'm the first person in Los Angeles to have one of these lol. Ok, so here's the story... I have a back door that must be open during hot days to let the breeze into my kitchen. Originally, I wanted to install one of the typical screen doors that you find at the hardware store, but I couldn't because of metal awning above the door. I knew that I didn't want that "As Seen on TV" screen with the magnets, because it looks like a hassle, cheap and flimsy. So, I was about the give up, when I remembered this European alternative that I had seen during a trip some years ago. When I found this on Amazon, I wanted to believe, but I really didn't expect it to keep the flies out. Sure enough, I can keep my back door open for hours at a time, and not one fly gets through. Family members still look at it in disbelief, because before we installed it, we were getting 4-5 flies into the house during a span of 30 minutes. The good people at Holland Plastics answered multiple emails that I sent with questions. They were courteous and sweet. Another concern of mine was my ability to install it. Basically, if you can hang a picture frame on your wall, then you can install this chain screen. I love it, love it, love it. If you're purchasing for delivery to the United States, make sure that you don't purchase from their amazon.uk listing, because shipping is expensive. Make sure that you purchase from the United States Amazon listing in which delivery is free and included in the purchase price. It was supposed to take weeks to arrive, but I got it in 3-4 days. Oh, and pets love it, because they can come and go as they please. Thank you, Holland Plastics!!!!!

I bought this to keep my conure (small parrot) from escaping out the back door. Also to keep the flies out (we have horses). Screen doors just suck, this is so much better.Pros:- Heavy duty aluminum chain- They are extremely responsive to a custom size. I emailed them and gave my door measurement length as I needed 207mm and they customized it for me. Only requiring that I purchase the wide to cover costs. I needed the wide anyways.- Shipping was hella fast. Custom order plus shipping from UK to Texas in 6 days. I figured I wouldn't see the thing for 3-4 weeks as the shipping estimator said 1.5 weeks.Cons:- The two little rinky-dink screw in hangers they send with the unit are not enough to hold up the wide version, it's pretty heavy. I had to go purchase a french cleat hanger to support the weight of this thing. I like that it's heavy though. You could also use the little brass picture hangers or mirror mounting clips which are much cheaper than a french cleat bracket. My door has a ledge that required I mount up in a crevice so I had to go with the cleat.- The chain links seem to be painted. I went with this brand because of the color choices. Vevor sells a much cheaper version but only in silver. I noticed some small chipping in the color on some of the links just from shipping. Time will tell if the color holds.

Every time I went to Italy, I suffered "screen envy". After finding and ordering this from an American company (not via Amazon), I was disappointed that it was too short for the doorway and was more expensive than this one. So, I ordered one of these and I love it. It was $35 cheaper, easy to install and fits my sliding glass door perfectly.This is an ideal screen if you have animals running in and out all the time. True, it is more expensive than a standard screen door, but sooooo worth the money. I was afraid the dogs would pull the chains off, or get their fur caught in it, but neither have proved to be a problem.Oh yeah .. and they look great, too!

They are fantastic. Our lab can go in and out wagging her tail without them tangling and breaking. They are strong and durable, if not a little heavy, but at our house they look pleasing to the eye.
