Older

After being a huge fan of Yael since her first album, I was super excited to buy "Older" the day it was released. And I was NOT disappointed. This album has a much more blues sound and feel than her previous two albums, and I think it works beautifully. The songs switch from being upbeat and fun to very dark and deep. You get the full range of Yael on this album - her lighthearted fun, her darkness - songs you'll dance along with, and ballads to sit quietly with and be moved by. We even get a return to some Hebrew and French on this album with the song "Ima", which was so pleasant to hear, as I had missed the beautiful language that we got so much of on her first album (I honestly wish we had more, I can understand why she'd want to sing more in English, but the Hebrew is so beautiful).As much as it's hard to pick favorites, I'd say my current standouts are "Dream in My Head", "Coward", "Trapped" and "Ima". With "Make a Child", "I Walk Until", "She Said He Said" and "Older" really growing on me quickly.I'd also recommend anyone who enjoys the track Coward, to go check out the different versions available on the Coward EP - the orchestra version is breathtaking!

Yael inspires me every day since I discovered her truly unique, honest, and incredibly eclectic approach to writing songs. What an exceptional talent and beautiful soul! I love the blues influences on this album and the maturity of the arrangements, whether complex or subtle, there is always another layer to discover. The vinyl album insert is breathtaking and is going in a frame on my wall.

Fantastic!!

It is "OK" but I was a little disapointed. I had bought it after listening to some tracks on You Tube (must have been her best ones). I had intended it for background/relaxing music, but it was not really that and needs to be engaged with to really appreciate it. It gets better with each listening. Difficult to describe the genre but then I am not an expert.

Sempre un bel folk raffinato ed elegante questo di Yael Naim che si riconferma in questo suo terzo lavoro in studio.... Peccato poco famosa qui da noi in Italia.

Bien qu'adepte de Yaël Naïm depuis "New Soul", j'avais des a priori sur ce dernier album.Mais non ! Agréablement surprise !!Je ne regrette pas du tout l'achat de cet album, d'autant plus que l'objet vinyle est magnifique.Vinyle blanc surprenant, et images bien cool...!

Nouvel album de Yaël Naïm qui reflète la personnalité de cette chanteuse: humble, vraie, joyeuse, mélancolique...Le premier titre existe en version franco/anglaise avec un duo Yaël Naïm/ Camille, sur youtube.Vue en concert à Corbie, dans la Somme: pas du tout déçue!

le talent de Yael Naim n'est plus à prouvé . Cette merveilleuse musicienne , avec cette belle voix montre qu'elle n'a pas fini de nous enchanter .
