It transforms the process of ironing - its so easy and quick.
This steam station has changed my perception of ironing from a chore to something I enjoy.I was sceptical about what difference could a steam station make, I wasn't ready for how good this is. It has a large capacity for water, 1.5 litres which removes the irritation of constantly having to refill the iron.It speeds up the ironing, I now whizz through the bedding with duvet covers looking magazine worthy rather than crumpled like its just been dragged from a pile at the bottom of the airing cupboard.I didn't realise that there is no requirement to choose a temperature setting, the steam does all of the work with a hot plate at a fixed temperature - no more scorched delicate fabrics.Make sure your ironing board is big enough to stand the steam unit on without being in your way and I can't see any reason why you wouldn't love this product.

Very good value, works well
Brought this to replace my old steam generator iron. I was half the price of my old one. After using it for 2 weeks now I must say I am impressed. Easy to fill, front flap opens easily to fill using a jug. Heats quickly. Steam works fast and just keep depressed for blast of steam. Iron will only sit flat on it's base or ironing board. Will take a bit of getting used to, I keep trying to stand on it's end. I did see other reviews saying it was noisy, I don't think it is, there is a 'soft' noise that is I belive is the pressure for the steam.

Good but could be better.
Bought as replacement for a 9 year old similar Philips iron. More awkward to drain unused water and cable/hose parking is not as well thought out. More compact though which is better for us, so maybe it's a model down.

A steam iron not built to last
I don’t do much ironing, maybe an hour a week but this steam iron has needed to be sent for repairs twice already, with exactly the same fault since purchasing it. Steam stops working and it makes funny mechanical sounds. It’s now had the same fault occur again for a THIRD time and Phillips have refused to send it for repair unless I pay for the repair! For this sort of money, you should be getting an iron that’s at least fit for purpose. Having read some of the others reviews, the issue I’ve faced seems to be a common fault. So unless you want an iron that won’t last very long, with a less than helpful Phillips aftercare service, I don’t recommend anyone buying this.

Dont buy this and very poor repair service as broke 6 months later.
The media could not be loaded. Last Repair Update. It has broken again, no steam and hardly getting hot. Total waste of money. AMazon chat promised full refund so bought another iron and 2 days later they emailed and said no refund deal with Phillips. Very poor service.REPAIR UPDATEFirst time i have ever had to use Amazon's repair service - and i am mightily impressed to say the least. Was issued with the return label and I took the iron to the post office afternoon of 15th August. It was delivered to the repairers on the 19th and i received a text saying it had been repaired and would be returned on the 20th August. Received the iron back in full working order on the 21st August. Now that is a service!! There was a works sheet in the box saying the hose was blocked and it had been replaced. Spent 2 hours ironing in the evening last night (21st) and the iron was back to its good old working order - just like my original review. Well impressed.UPDATEAugust 24 and the steam function stopped working. Have just sent it back for repair / replace so will see how this pans out. Will update review again when i get either a repaired or new iron. I will be able to review the repairs process as i have never had to use this facility before.I am impressed with the lightweight feel of the whole iron and tank, and the lockable feature for when moving about with it. I burnt myself a couple of times with my previous iron when it fell of the base when i was putting it away. The electrical lead could be a bit longer, but the hose is more than long enough. Also like the clear reservoir and large snout for filling it. Its very easy to use, i've just got to get used to how it feels as its different to what i've been used to for the last 5 years or so. Maybe its because i've only used it a couple of times, but it just feels like there is a lag between pressing for the steam and it actually coming through. Same for the turbo boost. I will have to update my review after a months use to see how i am getting on with it. But have just done 1/2 dozen work shirts and a load of t-shirts and trousers, all in good time and with no issues.

Not as good as old model with a filter
I previously owned a Phillips perfectcare but had to get rid of it after 9 years because Phillips chose to stop selling the filters 😡 so I assumed (wrongly) this would perform the same!Pros - no filter to change but uses deionised waterCons- leaks water onto clothing, does not get as hot, seems to struggle with cotton/linen, leaving them creased, seems to have a “delay” when pressing the steam button.Overall I wish I hadn’t brought it, I appreciate it is a budget version but still expensive.
