Very impressed
I've loved Ferris Wheels ever since I was a kid. When I saw this product, I knew I had to get it. It has the right amount of detail. Given that it's wood and it's prone to minor warping, it still delivered when I was finally able to assemble it. It does look fragile and you do need to be careful taking off the sheets. Using an Xacto knife to pry then apart definitely helped me a lot. I would buy it again as a gift or if I just want to have another one for myself.

Take your time and do it correctly. : )
This ferris wheel is super cute and works nicely. I'm no pro, but I've done enough of these puzzles and have learned from my mistakes. Inside each puzzle box they include a small, fine square of sandpaper. When you run into a piece that doesn't fit-do not try to force it. Because it will break. Instead sand a little off each side of the notch and it will fit perfectly. And if there are multiple pieces of the exact same pieces those will need to be sanded also. The perfect fit will ensure a smooth and fun completion of the puzzle. Sure, some pieces are a bit tedious, but the finished product is really cool. So take your time, pay attention and be patient, it's worth it!

Fun
It is extremely delicate, I broken so many pieces I had to run to buy gorilla glue, but it is cute when done, its not for kids.

looks good on shelf
I now have about 15 wooden models. This one does turn easy. It does turn slowly but that's good. Very sturdy. gondolas turn nice. I advise people to use candle wax on any surfaces that have 2 parts turning together. it helps. The instruction don't show how to keep the legs attached. they give you 3 small plastic square bolts that you can put 2 over the legs, 1 each, where it attached to the wheel. be sure to put the rubber band on BEFORE the leg.

Pleased With the Overall Experience
The media could not be loaded. In putting it together, I had to study the pictures/instructions carefully. It was at just the right level for me--I had to think and be careful but it didn't take so long that I wanted to give up. For some items, there were extra parts and I ended up having to use one. I loved that they knew which extra part I was going to need.I was on the last of it when my young granddaughter was over and she carefully handed me the carriages. She was fascinated. And then the magic happened when it was all completed, the key was wound, the music played and the Ferris wheel turned. Exactly when I wanted, expected and got. (My granddaughter had to leave before the final show but she'll be back sometime soon. The magic will happen again.) (FYI: I had the Ferris wheel puzzle in my wishlist and when it was a lightning deal, I got a notice. I'm putting more of the puzzles in my wishlist.)

I found this too delicate to finish.
This was a really cool kit. I have a lot of patience and love this kind of detail work. However, within the first few steps I found that some of the more delicate pieces broke, regardless how careful I was. Also, some of the pieces didn't want to stay together. No problem, I thought. I'll just use some wood glue. But about halfway through I was re-gluing and bracing tiny pieces because of the tension needed in the wheel itself. I had to give up. It really is a cool kit, though, and was fun to try. I might look so see if there's one that isn't quite so delicate.

Cool model
I really enjoy these wood puzzles and this is no different. The ferris wheel works and plays a song while spinning. It took about 2 hours to assemble.
