I bought this to replace my old laptop. I know most people have a sense that AMD isn't as good or as fast as intel processors but I can attest that this one is very, very good! I work in IT and I use a variety of programs including Tableau, Anaconda, etc. and this laptop seamlessly handles my workflow and analyses. For the price, this is an excellent machine. It's not as sleek a design as an HP Elite, it doesn't have a backlit keyboard, and the resolution isn't top of the line but it's still a very good machine! I highly recommend it for work, school, or even casual personal computing.

These were a great price. We bought two for our boys in elementary school to be ready for distance learning for this year. They were extremely easy to set up. We ended up disabling Windows 10-S and switching to regular 10 so they could play the Minecraft Java Edition in order to play against other players. That switch was extremely easy and took less than 1 minute. The laptops are lightweight and so far work great.

Overall a good laptop for the price.Pros:CostCons:Washed out screen colorsI bought this laptop to install Kali Linux. Normally this is a straight forward thing to do. I did run into a few issues though. You have to disable secure boot to install a different operating system. Once that was disabled I was able to install Kali. There were no native drivers for the WiFi card available though I was able to install the drivers from a gentleman who built them for Ubuntu distributions. Once I installed the drivers, everything was working beautifully. Overall happy with the purchase. Should be a good system to get through OSCP and OSWE certifications.

This is a very light and thin laptop. I am very satisfied now, but initially it has its shortcomings:- Windows S is annoying. It won't allow Quicken or Google Chrome, and the "S" versions of Evernote and Adobe Reader were not as functional as the full versions outside the "S" environment- The screen appeared washed outAfter switching to Windows 10 and downloading all of the accumulated updates, my little laptop is purring like a kitten and the screen resolution is now very acceptable.THANKS TO ONE DRIVE, THE DATA TRANSITION TO MY NEW LAPTOP WAS SEAMLESS. I SUGGEST YOU GOOGLE FOR ADVICE ON HOW TO PREPARE A NEW COMPUTER BEFORE YOU EVEN UNBOX YOUR NEW PC.

I'm honestly very satisfied with this device. It's performed very well and handles internet browsing, having multiple pages open, etc. With great speed. I even use it for photoshop and it handles it with a lot of speed. One tip I would add is keep it very clean, in my experience that's been best, only thing I've downloaded is google chrome and photoshop. If you keep it clean and free I think it will run well for a while. I've had it for about a week now, so time will tell! Cheers!

My grandson received the laptop for us birthday.He was thrilled with the gift and has enjoyed using it for doing his schoolwork. Good choice.

Purchased this after seeing the great reviews. I used for less than 2 weeks and then it started crashing. Kept giving me an error message, then I'd restart it and a few hours later it would crash again. Interval between the "crashings" became smaller and smaller to the point that I was unable to use it anymore. Something about a software that was not properly installed. Still under warranty, so I returned it to HP. They are still working on it. Had to wait days for them to send me a box. Now waiting for them to fix the issues and will have to wait who knows how long to get the laptop back. Really frustrated, invested in getting a laptop that I needed (not just a want) for work, now I am out of a laptop and will essentially be getting a refurbished laptop. And who knows how long it will work if it broke with less than 2 weeks usage. I am giving it 3 stars because for the few days I had it I liked what i was able to discover. Did not even get a chance to really assess all the features. Also, based on all the reviews I choose to assume I just got a defective products. But it SUCKS!!!!!Edit 8/14I received my "repaired" Laptop on on 8/7 (they did not even bother to send it via a priority mail despite the fact that it will put me out of a computer for a total of 3 weeks). Started using the laptop again on 8/8, the language kept changing by itself, then the mode (light mode vs. high contrast mode vs dark mode) always changed without me doing it. Then for 3 days it did not give me an issue and I thought I was all good. I wake up this morning to work and CRASHED!!! Again!!!! same problem that had me send it to HP before!!! no OS installed????? Called HP support service. After being on hold I explained the problem and informed that all they can do is take the computer again to re-installed the OS. What??? How is it going to be different this time around? Put me out for another 3 weeks, unable to work, limited productivity? escalated to supervisor who tells me the same thing. Plus they cannot send me a loaner in the meantime because it is only sent if the computer is with them for a long time? Excuse me? computer purchased on June 21st. Have used it altogther for maybe 2 weeks total the rest of the time unusable and it is not long enough to send me a loaner while you are doing the same thing you did before? At this point I just need this "laptop" replaced. I am beyond livid! HP you lost a customer and all her friends and family for life. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy this so called laptop! (Also just read some of the reviews and realized that some people had the same issue with the OS uninstalled in the past! I wish i had read it before :(

I’ve used this laptop for nearly 3 years and I’ve had 0 issues, truly. The main thing I use it for is to play Sims 4 (LOL) and I use lots of mods. This computer handles it well for the price.
