Works for my Bobcat 873 with a little bit of grinding.
This takes a little bit of grinding to get it to fit on my old Bobcat 873. Someone else had said the same thing. But it worked great to get those pistons out and is a lot cheaper than the Bobcat part.

Well made tool that worked great with a little adjusting
This would have been a full five stars except that the 1/4" side of the pins measured .263 and were too large for the holes on my cylinder cap. I filed the finish off and maybe a little more(they are made out of pretty hard material). Still too big. I then had the idea to measure my 1/4" drill bits. Yes! One was a touch larger and with a tap on the tool it was a tight fit. NOTE: once you fit the tool to the cap it helps if you lock it to this size by tightening the pivot screw down tight. Other than the size variation of the pins on mine, this is a nice well made tool.

Good Fit - Glad I went for Adjustable
This worked well for disassembling a hydraulic ram. No complaints, just works.

Gets the job done, but barely.
It gets the job done, the only complaint i have is that the retaining bolts for the reversable pins are too small and not grippy enough to retain the pins under heavy load at awkward angles. Also, Spill any hydraulic fluid on them and out they go. So plan to replace the retainer screws with longer grade 8 bolts or their metric equivalent, I forgot which one it takes, with normal heads you can torque tight with a wrench. The rest of it is great.

Works as advertised
This works much better than a big pipe wrench for removing hydraulic cylinder caps. Had an old 530 Case backhoe. Rebuilt the loader cylinders last year using a pipe wrench. Rebuilt the hoe end this spring and spent the money for this. It worked so much better than the pipe wrench. Rebuilt 7 cylinders, so have $4 per cylinder in this tool. Worth every penny in the time and effort it saved compared to a pipe wrench. Biggest trick is to tighten the allen screw in the pivot after you get it fitted on the cap.

A Must have for hydraulic cylinder repair.
The tool is sturdy, and well made. I like that you can replace the pins. I like that you can tighten the center hex pivot bolt and lock it to the size you need. I mainly use for hydraulic cylinder rebuilds on forklifts and heavy equipment. The only thing I dislike about the tool is that it does not come with an extra set of pins. Any tool will wear with use and would be nice to have a spare set of pins for the future. over all worth the price for the time you save on the job, and you don't run the risk of damaging the cylinder cap.

Solid body, crappy pins
Actually a very well made body. Pins are to small and after several frustrating attempt, made my own to fit the body. After that it was a breeze. Removed a gland nut all by myself, on a full size backhoe swing cylinder, that was deeply buried inside the chassis using a nice size cheater bar without slipping. Felt rock solid an saved me a headache of removing the whole cylinder.Bottom line just get a 3/8 bolt and use it to make your own pins
