Reliable and Easy to Use for Home Security!
The Ring Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd Gen) is an excellent addition to my home security setup! Installation was a breeze—I simply attached the sensors to my doors and windows, and they immediately synced with my Ring Alarm system. The setup process was simple, and the app made it incredibly easy to monitor and control. What I really love about these sensors is how responsive they are. I get instant notifications on my phone if a door or window is opened, which is exactly what I need to stay alert when I'm not home. The sensors are small, discreet, and blend in well with my home’s decor without drawing too much attention. The battery life has been great so far, and I appreciate that they’re designed to last.I also feel more secure knowing I can integrate the sensors with my entire Ring system, giving me full control over my home’s security. Whether I’m inside or away from home, I always know when the system is triggered. If you're looking for an easy-to-use, effective contact sensor for your Ring system, I highly recommend the Ring Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd Gen). Nice device for doors and windows
I bought this to alarm an outdoor shed. Super simple to add to the alarm system. Seems very responsive and notifications are instant. We'll see how long the batteries last but the range is excellent. Seems good quality.

Ok
The only thing I will say about the ring system is it always seems like it has difficulty contacting with the main base for various places in the house. Even if you get the range extenders or a whole house Wi-Fi extender, it appears that there’s always some connection issues with these. I think they’re fine. I think ring is an OK system. But I’m only gonna give it four stars because even with range extenders, etc. I still have connection issues if one of the unit is on the other side of the house.

Left the Gen I magnet
I had a Gen I door switch that wouldn't connect (6 yrs of use) and replaced it with a Gen II. The Gen II magnet is smalled than the Gen I and I had in-laid the Gen I piece so I left it and used the Gen II sensor. Now works well.
