It's very easy to put it on and off, It can be placed in the door frame very well, it can suck the door frame firmly, and it will not damage the door frame when it is removed. I really wanted to like this pull up bar. I was impressed when I pulled it out of the box as it felt heavy duty and solid, and the foam grip around the bar seemed like it would add to my overall comfort while doing pull-ups. The problem is that this bar simply does not stay lodged in any of my doorways when I start applying downward force on the bar.I live in a condo building and all of my door frames are metal. What I found was that, even though I followed the directions and expanded the bar until the ends met flush with the inside of my door frames, the pads on the ends of the bar -- which I would describe as more of a hard plastic vs. a rubberized surface -- don't provide sufficient traction to grip onto the door frame. As a result, even though the mechanism seems to apply some outward pressure on door frame, the bar just slips out of place every single time I try to do a pull up. I am 175 lbs and wasn't able to get to the point where I lift myself off the ground even once. I only had to expand the bar slightly to fit my door frames so it should have held my weight no problem according to the instructions.The instructions, as other reviewers have pointed out, are only in Chinese. There is not a single word of English. That said, you're able to find directions in English if you pull search engine results for "Calliven pull up bar".After trying the bar in multiple doorways in my condo and getting the same disappointing result, I submitted a return request explaining that the bar would not work for me. The response I got form the seller was that "IT CANNOT BE!" and they told me to check the instructions, which they attached in English. This of course didn't help since I had already found English instructions. THE BAR SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK!I am irritated that the seller simply responded that it's impossible their product doesn't work, and didn't even give me a return option. Terrible customer service. I would strongly advise anyone who is considering purchasing this product to avoid it and look at other pull up bar alternatives.
