This will hold several oz of dry tea. It's not ugly by any means, but it's pretty plain looking is the only "drawback"

The lid is difficult to remove because it sealed so well.

This is a very beautiful ceramic tea canister. I would say it is very airtight so be careful when you first open it - you wouldn't want to break anything. The inside of it is unglazed and comes with a small plastic bag and some wires (as you can see above) to store your tea or coffee into. Although I didn't use the plastic bag, I still find it thoughtful and convenient for those of you who would use it. I just finished filling the tea canister with some tea and I would say it generally fits about 100g of loose leaf tea (of course this measurement might vary according to the shape/form that your tea comes in). All in all, this was worth the purchase for me!

If this is a handmade piece, the jar is just beautiful. [I say that because it took a while to get shipped.] The lid is nice and tight. This is advertised as a Tea Jar. Now, I wasn't sure with the packaging it came in whether or not the jar would be broken. Styrofoam & a tyvex bag. SMH Thankfully it wasn't!! My fiance' passed away a couple of years ago and I have been trying to find a urn that would please me and honor him. Prior to his passing, he had a request to be released in a few special places and the family needs to keep just a little of him.

Bought these it use but the two blue ones I bought were chipped one more than the other.

Used for storage of loose tea leaves.The cover should be tight to keep a good seal but this cover did not fit easily and is a bit of a struggle to push in... required turning the lid several times to find the right fit in which it would push closed.
