This is great Turmeric. It has a high Curcumin content, it's USDA Organic and a product of rural India (where it is native to) and has been used in India for medicinal and culinary purposes since ancient times.The packaging says that this Turmeric comes from hand picked crops, on sustainable farmland.We use Turmeric in so many things: it's great in soups, mashed potatoes, sauces, curries, smoothies and to make Turmeric coconut milk lattes.Turmeric is an amazing superfood with very strong anti-inflammatory and pain relieving qualities. It has recently been discovered that Turmeric (containing Curcumin) protects against the neurodegenerative onslaught of dementia and Alzheimer's (both conditions are extremely rare in India, by the way). This Turmeric smells as it should, has a lovely bright mustard yellow color and has a delicious strong flavor. We were introduced to this Turmeric via a promotional event and this is our experience of it. We will definitely buy this brand/ type again, it's really good Turmeric. I love this organic turmeric. This is a must have for every household in my opinion. I must have high quality organic turmeric like this one in the house at all times. I love to use it in recipes for meals, and recipes for personal care products. I love using this in my homemade facial recipes especially.I also like to take it as a supplement in capsules.I put this powder in capsules for my children since they don't prefer for me to add turmeric to their food. But they are happy to swallow the turmeric in capsules. I definitely see and feel a difference when I'm not consuming turmeric. It is my top favorite anti inflammatory supplement to take regularly.As an active blogger and product reviewer I purchased this turmeric at a discounted promotional price in exchange for my promise to write an honest product review.

UPDATE: I went to purchase this again and I was surprised at the price. A couple of months ago I paid $19.97 for this product. NOW IT'S 24.97? NOW THAT'S A 25% INCREASE!!! This review just went from 5 stars to 3. Please do not ever assume that Amazon is the cheapest online store!ORIGINAL: I bought a lot of brands of Turmeric, but this one tastes like fresh turmeric fingers. The color is very dark and the taste is rich. Most other brands are powder dry but this stuff seems to be high quality. I will buy this for now on! I bought 1 pound to try it, and next time, I'll buy two. I put a tea spoon in a glass of water ever morning, sometimes with maca and some coaco and down the hatch!!

I have no qualms with the product inside the package, it is all I am looking for. I dropped the rating to a 4 star because I feel the price I pay for this product, should be packaged in a quality container. The closing/locking feature leaves a bit to be desired! To me, I just fold the top and use a clip to store in my freezer. This product deserves a better container!

Love this turmeric! I have purchased several different brands of turmeric, but this one is the best I have found. I immediately knew it was more potent than some others I have purchased even before I had a chance to try it, as my cat immediately wanted to lay on the package because it smelled so fantastic. I made golden paste with this turmeric, and mixed with some warm milk. Best taste ever. I love this brand, and will buy it going forward when I need more. The customer service from this company as well as the nice e-book (free) complete the picture. Fantastic.

I mix this in a bowl with pepper, and then put it in "00" veggie caps. It is pure and I know what I'm putting into my body. The bonus is, I made 500 capsules today and used a little more than half of the turmeric. The bag is zip-locked, so I'll make the rest in 6 months or so! The best part is the cost of making my own capsules vs. buying the product already made. It is a SUBSTANTIAL savings.

I have begun using the Turmeric and put it in protein powder and mix as a drink, for it's anti-inflammatory purposes. It appears to be useful and certainly smells and looks better than what I had previously purchased in the grocery stores.

I use to take the capsules until I read Dr. Greger's Book,"How not to,die". I like getting about double the curcumin with this product. Uniform fine dark powder.Great Taste.Perfect in every way.It costs ,more,.Pay peanuts get Monkeys.. but if it saves one visit to the crooked doctor that pays for years of use.
