Grafters Mens Leather Uniform Shoes Black Grafters present a classic design in these new leather shoes, a textile lining with a 3 eyelet lace-up. The smooth leather upper keeps a smart appearance, accented by the PVC cushioned sole. It has extra grip, keeping you steady, while the oil and heat resistant properties keep your feet safe. comfortable and look not too bad at all
I bought these as an alternative to the last (I mean most likely my last ever) pair of Docs. These are my work shues and are a decent fit, comfortable and look not too bad at all. They feel more comfrortable than docs and are significantly less pricey. My last Docs didn't see out a year. These are already 6 months in and no problems so far..

Shoes seem sturdy enough, and I don't expect to go through ...
Normally I take a size 9, but these seemed a little big, and my foot does move about in them. Should have got a half size, but not taking any marks off for that. Shoes seem sturdy enough, and I don't expect to go through the soles anytime soon - they are really thick and hard wearing. Not as comfy as some of the reviews here indicated, but that's maybe to do with the insoles. At the front of the shoe they are almost non-existant, and they have started feeling uncomfortable after about a week (attached pic - you can see the diamond contours of the sole coming through). Another thing I didn't like is the laces - the 3 sets of eyelets don't really allow you to tighten the shoes properly, without feeling uncomfortable through the tongue. Again, this may be because mine are slightly too big but I don't think so. Perhaps a flat lace may help, rather than the chunky round one supplied.Overall, I'd probably NOT recommend these.(edited review after extra few days of wear)

Great Fit - Great Price
For my work, as an IT engineer, these shoes are perfect!Previously I'd purchase high quality shoes of a similar style from high street stores such as from M&S and I'd always find that the sole would split across the shoe as a result of crouching down on my toes or crawling around under desks to disconnect and re connect cables. This would happen every few months forcing me to buy another long before I should have too. I then moved onto dirt cheap shoes, such was my reluctance to keep refreshing my line of M&S shoes. These were dreadful. Whilst the lasted much longer than the expensive one's the comfort was drastically reduced - they certainly weren't something you'd wanna wear 5 days a week for long periods of time!Enter the Grafters Air Cushioned shoes! Wow! Everything about these shoes is great, from fit to quality to comfort they simply tick every box I need to be ticked. I did read several reviews that said the fit wasn't right and that they weren't comfortable...in a lot of cases this is down to individual sizing and personally for me the fit (size 12) is perfect. The leather is initially quite rough - as with any high quality leather it needs to be broken in before you see the benefit of it. The toe cap is much more firm, compared to any of the other shoes I've owned - allowing for greater protection of your feet (a good bonus!). As for the Air Cushioned sole - they certainly are very comfy - I wouldn't go as far as saying springy - but my feet don't hurt at all after wearing them for long periods and I've had no blisters and such even from new. There would be many trades that would suit this shoe greatly and I can't recommend them enough.

Smart working shoe
I bought these shoes for everyday workwear. They look smart, with smooth polished leather, and have a substantial sole. Time will tell how well they wear, but if previous pairs of similar construction are a guide, I would expect to get about two years wear from them. (I will have to update this later if any significant facts appear.) I got a size larger than my actual foot size, as I normally do to allow for a wider fit. These are quite wide and so were a little loose, so I fitted an insole and they are now perfect. Having worn them for about a week, I have no rubs or blisters to complain of. They also coped well with a very wet day out.Overall, I would say they are good value for money.

I bought a pair ofthese in October and after four months of average use one of the soles has split across from side to side.£30 for 4 months? Not sure that that is entirely reasonable!Same issues that others experienced also, with the cushioned inner peeling off etc.I won't be getting another pair.

good for wide feet but heavy
nice looking shoe, good fit for wide flipper like feet, this is my 2nd pair, 1st ones lasted around 16 months worn almost everyday until the sole finally cracked across from one side to the other. This is a problem I have with most Doc Marten style soles as I find they tend to split before wearing out. They are comfortable from day 1 out of the box with no nipping or pinching but be aware they are very heavy due to that sole. For office based people that do need a steel toe cap they are fine as the weight will not be a major issue, if you need to do a lot of walking they will help build great calf muscles and save on gym fees.

Comfortable from the moment I put them on - no adjustment period. I have purchased these shoes before and have been very happy with them. They look similar to Doc Martens, but with a slightly narrower front end, and are less than half the price. Definitely a good buy.

Lovely, smart and sturdy shoes.
These shoes were bought for my 10yr old son who has huge feet (size 9 adult) so they have to live upto bike rides, scooters etc. I wish I had thought to come here years before as I struggle to get him decent hard wearing shoes but these are perfect. He's had them weeks and there's not a scratch on them. They fit perfectly and look very smart. I will definitely be buying them as he continues to grow.
