Boringly reliable
I decided to hardwire my business last year and ran two cat 6 runs to each work station, one for the Poe phone and one for the computer. This unit has worked great… never have had a single issue!

Solid hardware
Here is a product I am actually professionally qualified to review. I have over 30 years of experience in computers and networking, so I have seen a few switches in my professional life, both good and bad. Netgear is a brand I will purchase for personal use. I have several of them around the house. I have also used them at work when I have a place with a single network drop and several devices that need network access. They are convenient and dependable work horses. This switch also comes with POE, which means you can power a wireless access point without using an adapter. It is unmanaged, so you can plug it in and use it with no worries about network addressing. I counted the number of devices I have on my network at home, and it is embarrassing. I can almost max this switch out, and that doesn’t include wireless devices! I am sitting at 12! Wireless raises that number by another 8 or so. Not bad? 3 people! This Netgear handles the throughput to our backbone to the Internet. I am not talking about a few emails here, but movies, YouTube, online gaming, software updates and downloads, blog updates, and a Zoom on occasion. I can always run a speed check and get 950 gbit or more, up and down. It will get warm, so give it a little bit of an air gap. This is a solid piece of hardware that I can recommend! The features ratings above are not applicable. There is no WiFi and I don't need Tech Support or a user interface.

Underwhelming POE functionality
A very nice piece of equipment, well-built. The transformer is huge and heavy. The power-over-ethernet delivered from this device is not enough to power a wifi router, and it is not enough to power a very low current use Lutron RA3 module. A separate power supply has been needed to make both work on a network that has 40' runs of Cat 6 ethernet cable.

SILENT - excellent for the home office
The media could not be loaded. Works great for our home security camera system, and is totally SILENT! We previously made a mistake and bought an Aumox POE switch, which was way too LOUD for a home office. However, this Netgear is perfect for our home office and just works quietly in the background. I submitted a video just to show how quiet it is, compared to the Aumox (submitted a video on how loud that one is on that product page).

High speed and worth every penny
I upgraded my old Cisco multi-port switch (non-POE) to this 16 port. Wow! Significantly improved download speed. I have Gigabit fiber to my house and cat5 wiring throughout. I baselined my old switch speed via my XBox One X at 86 Mbps. After I installed this switch, it jumped to 400! ~5x faster. My next upgrade is to Cat8 cable. When I ran a 100’ cable from this switch to the Xbox and tested the speeds, its was over 800, but the upload speeds went from 80 to 700 as well. Worth every penny! My only critique is the app and setup. Easy once I figured it out but the setup in app is via the hamburger menu and NOT via the “+” symbol (which is for connecting other equipment). Instructions were not very clear.
