I bought this for picking apples and it was very useful.

The picking bag is well constructed. I like the clips that hold the bag closed while picking and didn't require unbuckling each time I emptied the bag. I did have some issues with the bottom flap not folding over fully and some fruit dropping out the bottom while picking. Once I paid attention to make sure the bottom was folded right I had no problems. This bag really saved me work.

I bought 4 of these aprons to use in our apple orchard. We have 4 aprons of another type so with 280 trees, they all got a lot of use.There were several problems with these aprons. First, is the the way the bottom hooks up to form the pouch. It simply uses a hook rather than a lobster type clamp. (See third photo) When you have your pouch full and you walk , step up on a ladder etc, your legs hit the bottom of the pouch, which raises and unhooks the hook and the apples spill out. In addition, the bottom does not fold up quite enough. If you are not very careful to tuck the inside layer up, the bottom gapes and apples can fall out. (see last photo).They are also not very durable. After one season of use 3 of the four needed to be repaired. Two had the back straps pulled out at the seam (see photo 1) and two had the plastic tubes that form the opening break through the fabric. (See photo 2).We did not abuse these but they were used a lot. If you have several trees I would recommend spending more money for different bags.

Plus, the clasps that keep the bottom part tucked up tend to fall out of place and drop oranges everywhere. We are returning and going with a design more suited for citrus.

These are incredibly sturdy. The canvas is heavy duty and it will hold lots of fruit. I would buy these again!
