I don’t think they’re buttery soft or gauzy. They’re strong cotton. They’re very substantial. We use them to clean and as dish towels.

Q: Will these towels fade when washed in hot water?

I've only used the white but will be ordering other colors. Washed well, became softer, washed beautifully and was bleached.

Q: Why does your picture show 12 but the deal is for 4? Ever heardbof truth in advertising?

They come in multiple packs,some 4,8,12. I don't know why they only show the 12 pack here. But I LOVE these towles. They are really absorbent, and even pasta sauce washes completely out with a bleach wash. Do what you want. They just asked me to answer your question.
