These are not soft insoles.
These insoles are made mostly of a tough foam, and they have a thin but softer region for the ball and under heel. This is hard to judge from the sales page info. I do not find them comfortable to use and they do not help minimise my own particular foot pains which contribute to my difficulty in walking more than 10 yards or so. I would not have bought these insoles if I had known more about them from the web page. Perhaps insoles could be given some sort of springiness rating.? I really need a thicker soft and springy base for comfort, with gel like inserts at the higher pressure points to avoid the incremental build-up of pain when I try to walk. Shaped anti-pronation guides would also be useful. I accept that I didn't do enough research before purchase. In future I will examine insoles in a pharmacy and buy them there.

These work
I can't believe the difference these insoles have made to my PF. I would recommend getting slightly smaller than shoe size ,- the first pair I bought needed cutting and that meant that the arch was slightly in the wrong place. I'm size 5 and now have the 3-4.5. they fit shoes perfectly. They also take while to get used to, but worth persevering. I can now walk pain free for the first time in over a year. I'm buying more for all my shoes. Highly recommended.

They really do work.
I bought these insoles to help reduce the pain in my left heel. I have only used them for a couple of days but so far they seem to be working. It is much less painful to walk with the insoles fitted than it is without.
