Aluminum Replacement Rear Snap Latch Standard Waterproof Housing Buckle Lock for GoPro Hero 3+, Hero 3 Plus, Hero 4 Camera(Blue)

This is a great replacement for the original latch. This only thing I have a problem with, is that the metal spring clip that holds the latch to the housing, is not made of a corrosive resistant metal, and therefore rusts quickly. I've attached a picture. Making the clip out of stainless steel would solve that problem. Not sure how much longer this one is going to hold up. I've only had it a few months.

Great, strong and tight fit. The circular clip on this item seems to be of higher quality for stiffness and fit than the other ones available online. It is stiff without being loose. The colored aluminum part is also of a great fit and I would say latches tigher than the original as it doesn't have any bending or "give". My only complaint is that the circular clip does get rusty quite easily. We do use it in salt water but we rinse off all our gear after each dive. The rust is not visible when the GoPro is latched so it doesn't affect the look. I suspect it is just surface rust and won't affect the performance of the clip for a very long time.Review helpful? This clip is such a huge improvement on the one that came on the camera. Twice, the GoPro clips broke and this seemed like a good alternative. Very strong and appreciate the asthetic of the blue metallic. I'd recommend replacing it even if your clip isn't broken. It will be!

Locking bar works great, just like it came with the camera. locks and holds does not pop off. highly recommended.

This what should be on the housing unit to begin with!! But to be safe, I will make sure I'm squeezing the case closed before attempting to latch it shut to reduce any extra tension on the latch which is what probably contributed to the original black plastic latch failing.

The original buckle/latch for my GoPro was made of plastic and broke. This is made of a medal and dresses up the camera nicely. I expect that it will last for a long time.

I have bought several of these over the years to replace the plastic ones. perfect!

This is 10x better than the stock closure the GoPro comes with. I bought this one to replace the original plastic one when it broke and couldn't be happier with it.
