Canon Chip Resetter for PGI 225 and CLI 226, USB powered(No batteries Needed. Conveniently plugs into your computer)

I am so disappointed! This does not work at all. I followed the instructions, waited until the red light was solid, removed them, and I get the same error message from my Canon MG5220 printer - "The type of print head is incorrect. Install the correct printhead." I am so ticked off, because when I first had my printer, I could use these replacement cartridges, but now I can't. The ones at Costco cost about $60. for one of each! Now I am going to have to buy a new printer.

I purchased this resetter for my Canon MG 5220 printer. The reason i purchased it is because I have one the is exactly as the green one that is pictured and have reset at least 40 chips and it worked great and I wanted to have a spare when and if mine failed. When I receive it, it what white and had an insert for resetting the narrower CLI 226 cartridges, then you pulled the insert out to do the wider PGI 225 black cartridges. If it worked great, but it didn't, I tried it on 6 different and it would not reset them. You can ship it back for a refund, but you pay shipping to get, now you have to pay to ship it back. Be careful what you buy. They should not be able to sell something that is not as pictured, and does not work.

The chip resetter looks different than picture but, who cares. I bought it to do one thing ( reset canon 225/226 chips ) and it does it very affectively!Literally 5 mins after I got it out of my mailbox, I had it plugged in to computer ( use your own USB cord ((same cord canon printer uses to plug into printer)) it doesn't come with one) and had the black ink cartridge 225 reset and popped it into printer to make sure, it's all set shows the cartridge as full again.I think at the price I paid $18 I'd buy it again if it breaks. Saves me enough money to justify it when you compair it to ink cost at the big box store.

Saves $$$$$ and eliminates the annoying messages from the printer as to the cartage status.

Works as designed, first one did not arrive, contacted seller and three day later I was refilling ink cartridges. I have used this several times with no problems. GCTECH has great customer service.

I often fill my own cartridges but am annoyed with all the pop ups from cannon telling me i am out of ink. The chip resetter works good and is easy to use. You will need use your own USB cable. The cable needed is not included with the Chip Resetter.

To reset refilled ink that I'd purchased at Walgreens. Could not figure out why it wouldn't work until I saw a YouTube clip explaining that one needs to reset the cartridge for it to work. As soon as I got it, hooked it up and it worked like a charm!

Worked for all of my CLI226 and 225 for my MX892
