HOPPE'S Boresnake® Viper with Den and T-Handle, Shotgun Cleaner

Works well, easy to use

I have these for every caliber pistol, rifle and shotgun I own. They work perfectly are machine washable and last. I've tried other brands and none have the features these do, nor last as long.Do yourself a favor and buy Hoppe's Viper Bore Snakes, they beat all others hands down.

I'll admit I'm new to guns - I bought this on a recommendation as I had seen it in various stores. After having a friend show me how to use it on my shotgun, I can say I'm fairly pleased. He showed me how to remove the barrel and after shining a light down the barrel I could see small amounts of powder and crud lightly coating the barrel. We applied a little Hoppes CLP and he showed me how to pull it through. (I didn't realize at first the cap is actually a T-Handle which makes pulling it through a lot less work)After 2-3 runs through with it, the barrel was smooth and sparkling clean - impressive for such a basic device. I let it dry out and returned it to the little storage unit. It's also cheap enough that replacing once it gets nasty isn't going to set anyone back.Thank you Hoppe's for a great product!

Forget about screwing together rods & brushes! This is the easiest & best way to clean your barrels. I have these in ten different gauges / calibers, and it’s all I use. Highly recommend.

I almost never write a review. First I think this is a really good product and does a fine job for what it is designed to do. However, it comes with a plastic piece on the front of the bore snake to make it easier to feed into the bore of the gun, the problem is if you have a really tight turkey choke tube installed on your gun the plastic piece is too large to go through the choke tube (mine got stuck in the choke tube). The design needs to have a smeller piece of plastic to go through the tightest constriction choke tube (.555) or at the very least have a warning in the instructions to remove the choke tube before using the bore snake. Hope this helps someone from getting the plastic stuck in their turkey choke tube.

Been using these for years; a necessity for cleaning, IMO.

I shoot a lot of sporting clays, and this is the easiest way that I’ve found to clean my shotgun after an outing. I have only had to clean it once so far, and it was as simple as placing in a small laundry bag and tossing in the washing machine. Highly recommend!
