This piano book was recommended from my child music school. I like this book as it explain in great detail all basic concepts about piano.

My 11 year old daughter just started piano lessons and this is the book she uses at school. It's simple and easy to follow

This Beginner piano book is the best place to start to teach your children to play the piano. I am not a teacher, but a piano player myself so I chose this book and the accompanying theory book because it is easy to understand and follow for an adult or child. My son is 11 years old and had no prior musical experience. I read through each lesson with him and used the theory book 1A noted for each lesson. Without much help, he was able to practice on our keyboard. Once he was proficient with one lesson, he would move on to the next. I appreciate the clear direction this book/series gives and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to start their journey of playing the piano.

Thank you, I'm happy with this book for teaching my 5 year old. It is very stimulating and interesting. I also use theory book and recital book, and I like them all. The only thing I don't like about it is the CD. The other instruments playing together with piano are very distracting, it would be much better if there was only piano playing, nothing else. I like that all tracks are played slowly, and then fast. I would like it to be played slow, then fast without words, and then slow, and fast again but with words. It would be much more helpful than the way it is- no words and other instruments there to accompany piano, that are actually disturbing. However, there're very good videos on youtube. In some of the videos kids are playing the pieces from this book, recital book, and other Alfred's books, and on some videos professionally playing adults perform the entire book piece by piece. These videos are much much more helpful than the cd that comes with book. This is the only not so good thing about this product. Overall- excellent tutorial, happy with the purchase, thank you Alfred and Amazon.

Is very good for learning to play the piano. We do. Virtual class and it works well.
