Most Rediculious Thing I've Seen In Aa Long While!
If you are replacing your faucet DO NOT buy this brand. If you are attempting to repair your faucet there are a few things you should know. 6 weeks spent trying to find replacement stem. I could only find 2 references online. One a parts catalog and another repair instructions... both PDF files. Company web site stated it was under repair. After calling number in Calf. from PDF file I was advised that they would have no web site nor do online or phone customer sale. I needed part PK2012.... the last two digits being the stem length. I could find PK2012SP on Amazon. After several more calls to Calf. and Fla. no one could tell me if this part would work. I was told it was 1/4 inch too long, and 1/2 inch too long, and it was replacement for old spring loaded models and finally told it might work. I ordered it. When it came it was packaged and marked as PK2012SP but was actually 16 inches long... no 12 inches! (See Photos). Tired of all the crap I just disassembled the new stem and used all the rubber and nylon seals to replace the worn ones on my old stem and so far it seems to work. One note, if you choose to do this, when removing the rubber parts of the end of the new stem, place a small rod or screwdriver through the hole just under the rubber flange cup to hold it while removing the screw. You will also need to use your old screw when attaching to your old stem.

Won't work with square washer unit
If your faucet is approximately 20 years old the replacement stem sold through Amazon probably won't work. Even though the part number is the same the difference is a square brass washer at the end of the old stem. I purchased one of these directly from the company 4 years ago and the parts man I talked to was very careful to ask me about the square washer. From what I am reading in these reviews that part may no longer be available. When I called Arrowhead brass to order the parts a couple of weeks ago the receptionist informed me that they no longer sold parts directly and I should call Chicago Faucet Shoppe or purchase from Amazon. Bottom line is the entire faucet will probably need to be replaced. I will make a couple of phone calls next week and post additional info..

Does not work as a substitute for the spring loaded stems
Call the company before you buy. Depending on the year of your faucet this does not replace the spring loaded stems. They have a disclaimer stating that it may not work. Well I can verify that it does not work as a substitute for the spring loaded stems. Spring loaded replacement stems are are no longer being made. You have to replace the faucet if it leaks constantly. I took the gasket and o-ring off this part and put it on the spring loaded stem I have and it is holding for now.

SP suffix means it's 1/4" longer, for valves made 2008 and earlier.
will not work for 420 series valves made in the past 10 years or so. If your stem measures in at 6, 8, 10, 12 &1/4", this will work. dum dum dum.
