My boyfriend loves his new RP!
I got this for my bf for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It didn’t break the bank, the sound is nice and clear yet still has that raspy record sound when you first start it up. Beautiful light wood, easy to use and has Bluetooth as well. My bf is wanting to get some speakers for it so we can have it playing louder throughout the house. Great product at a great price. Thank you!

Small and affordable record player.
Small and affordable record player just like the early 1970's portable record players not having much bass sound but able to listen to your favorite songs.

Calibrate! Calibrate! Calibrate!
It's a perfectly passable player, for anyone looking for an inexpensive way to get into LPs. The built-in speakers do leave something to be desired, but they're pretty small so it should be expected they're not going to blow down the wall. But there are plenty of connectors to add better speakers, either by 3.5mm jack or RCA cables. It synced up just fine with my phone for Bluetooth, so it's nice to have a combination player I can keep in my office for my down time. For those struggling with speed: it's VERY important to calibrate these players for the LP you're using. For those struggling with the plate not moving: sometimes they come from the factory a little tight on the spindle - nothing a little grease can't fix for now - because they will eventually wear in as you use them. The metal spindle will lap into the plastic and you'll be right as rain.To calibrate: get a record of your desired size, put a small piece of sticky note to work as an indicator, and then play the record and count the rotations/minute. I advise PLAYING the record because the needle dragging will impact the speed and it's more accurate. Once you've figured out if you're slower/faster based on your record, open up the bottom (4 phillips head screws on the rubber feet) and look for the pictured circuit board (near the corner, by the speaker) You'll see 3 tiny (like micro sized) flathead screws, labeled 33T, 45T, and 78T - these are your speed controllers. Turn your needed controller clockwise to slow, counterclockwise to speed up. Give it a 1/8th turn in the needed direction and recheck with your LP/indicator. Repeat as needed to dial it in and you'll be jamming away in no time.

Absolute garbage
My teenager put this on his Christmas list and I was unimpressed by its appearance when I went to order it. I even asked if he was sure this was what he wanted and he said it was. He opened it Christmas morning and was happy. The day after Christmas he comes to me and asks if he can play a record on my turntable because it was skipping on his and he wanted to see if it was the record or the turntable. He played it on mine and it played fine. We went to his room to check out his turntable and the vinyl. The vinyl was a brand new pressing. Obviously you can get pressings with flaws, but there were zero scratches on it. I played it on his turntable and it skipped. Some things I noticed while using his turntable:-The record cannot be placed on the turntable straight down because the arm is too close to the turntable. You have to come in at an angle.-The lid stays open at an angle making access slightly inconvenient. This is more of an aesthetic thing for me and didn't bother him.-When I used the lever to lift the arm it is very loose. Not at all like me lever on my Victrola.-After moving the arm to the beginning of the record I used the lever to lower it onto the vinyl and it JUMPED to a different position. There were no obstructions and for it to do this as it's lowering could cause damage to records. COMPLETELY unacceptable.-The arm is flimsy and lacks the weight of the arm on my Victrola which may account for it not riding the record grooves well.-The casing to the turntable is faux wood and plastic garbage up close.Look it's a $60 turntable. There are MUCH more expensive ones, but there are also cheaper ones and I can't imagine the cheaper ones being worse than this. Honestly I had a cheap-o turntable as a kid to knock around with that would hold up and play better than this POS. Don't waste your time. If you want something cheap there are better options. If you want something to play and respect your vinyl there are better options too. I am in the process of returning it and his Victrola will arrive in 5 days. Worth the wait for something decent.
