Alligator Black Chopper Set 2-in-1

The plastic top that collects the chopped food broke after less than 6 months. The tabs snapped off when chopping some onions and it won’t stay in place now so the chopper still “works” but you have to catch all the pieces with your hand and put them into a bowl each time. I just bought a new (different) all metal version of one of these choppers because I have had 6-8 of these things over the years and inevitably some cheap plastic part breaks rendering the whole thing unusable. So I finally broke down and spent a LOT more money on a sturdy all metal one that will hopefully hold up. Something I should have done at the beginning but didn’t because I was trying to save money by going with the cheaper product. In the long run, I could have bought two all metal ones for the cost of all the junky ones I have purchased and since thrown away because they inevitably break, just like this product did.

I was so excited about trying this Alligator chopper, but what a disappointment!Yes, the metal cleaning grid works great — I found the cleaning pretty effortless. But that's its sole positive point — it's actually fairly useless and annoyingly difficult to use.You can only chop about a quarter of an onion at a time, and you have to push SO HARD to get the blades to get thru — it's a real struggle. But worst of all, if you look at the design (they don't show you this in the video), you see that EVERY TIME you chop part of a vegetable, you have to then turn the device over, pull off the plastic "catch box," pour the cuttings into something else (and trust me, they go all over the place!), and THEN you can chop the next piece. Huge drag!Sadly, I tried it on one onion and a few small, fairly firm tomatoes (which it mashed and made a complete mess of), and that was it. I've now boxed it up to return!

The product cuts the chopping time more than half and pretty uniform chopping. Also great for chopping veges for soups. It is a little difficult to clean as it is hard to get some of the food stuff out of the chopping blades, but that is a very small price to pay for the efficiency it gives. And I don't cut my fingers anymore.

Took a while to get used to but very easy to use good job

Definitely the worse chopper I’ve used in my home. The 3 choppers before worked great but the plastic hinge would break every time. We decided to go with the alligator chopper to prevent that from happening. We’ve tried using it for 3 meals so far and it won’t cut tomatoes easily all it does is smush it. Our family is constantly making pico de gallo, ceviche, etc and need something durable. The container where the vegetables are suppose to collect pops off when it gets a quarter full. The only pro to this item is how easily it can be cleaned. Other than that save your money.

This product is excellent and a time saver. Makes chopping onions a no tears experience.

I like it because it’s easy to chop with .Was disappointed as reading on it I thought the whole chopper was stainless steel not just the blades.I have had a lot of choppers and the plastic always breaks so you throw it away and buy another I hope this one is different.

Works great. Is sharp and efficient.

Happy with it so far only time will tell if blades last. I have already worn out two nicer dicers

Excellent Chopper

I've been able to successfully use this product three times before it began to fall apart. The larger set of blades have come loose are no longer in sync or aligned with one another. The grill in the middle of the device is difficult to remove for cleaning. However it is dishwasher safe. All in all I am not very satisfied with the outcome of this purchase. Would I recommend it to someone else, probably not. Sorry.

Je l'adore. C'est très pratique, minimaliste et efficace en terme d'utilisation. Seul la petite grille intérieur fini tjs par céder avec les années. Je la change tout les 3 ans environ. Elle se racheter en pièce unique mais comme souvent la grille qui coupe fini par se déformé ou/et s' émoussé avec le temps, je change l'ensemble et rachete tjs le mm. Vraiment très bon produits qd on l'utilise touuuut les jours com moi
